As luck would have it, Julia is about to be married to a Wall Street shark, and unless Robbie can pull off the performance of a decade, the girl of his dreams will be gone forever. *PRINCIPLE CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS AND VOCAL RANGES**: * *Robbie Hart- *The lead singer of a band. Handsome and charismatic. A truly 'nice' guy that has the classic lead singer aura and personality. Also a bit of a dreamer. Sexually promiscuous and always up for a good time, but wants to be loved and is looking for romantic fulfillment in all the wrong places. She is in love with Sammy. Character Age: 25 to 35. CLEVELAND, OH - Great Lakes Theater will present CAMP THEATER! a summer drama camp held at Berea-Midpark High School for students ages 4-18. Students can sign up for one or both weeks of camp, which will run June 6-10, and June 13-17, 2016. Immersing students in interactive and educational theater-based activities, CAMP THEATER! is a unique opportunity for students to work with and learn from Great Lakes Theaters professional teaching artists in a fun, safe and supportive environment. Daily classes will be held at Berea-Midpark High School in one-week sessions from Monday through Friday. Students may enroll in one or both weeklong sessions as different material will be covered each week. The program is designed for students of all levels of experience and ability. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE March 2, 2016 Great Lakes Theater Announces Auditions for Actor/Teachers Great Lakes Theater (GLT) announces auditions for non-Equity actor/teachers for its School Residency Program for the 2016-2017 school year. Actors of all cultural backgrounds are encouraged to audition. These are full-time, seasonal, paid positions, offered from August/September, 2016 through May, 2017. Requirements include an undergraduate degree in any discipline, as well as previous stage experience or actor training. Teaching experience or prior work with elementary, junior high or high school age students is a plus, but not required. Applicants must have a valid driver license, a reliable automobile and complete a background check. Applicants are requested to prepare one Shakespearean monologue and one contrasting contemporary monologue for the audition. Both monologues should total no more than three minutes combined. All auditions are by appointment only. Applicants must schedule an audition online. Audition for Student Produced Short Films and Promo Videos – Cuyahoga Comm College; see details below or go to our facebook listing: CASTING CALL: https://www.facebook.com/events/1556327181347289/ Where: Tri-C Campus in Parma, Ohio When: March 25, (Fri) from 9:15am to 1:15pm This is our 5th year of working together with local talent! Cuyahoga Community College's beginner level film and video students are creating several short projects (experimental videos, commercials, and short narrative films), and need local talent. This is an "Intro to Filmmaking" class, taught by Prof. Bruno Tatalovic. Several students who completed this course in previous years – are now established local film artists, and they won filmmaking awards at Ohio’s film festivals and Cleveland’s 48-Hour-Film contests. This type of collaboration is perfect for beginner level actors who need more footage for their first demo-reel. Each of these projects feature 1-2 actors only, and gives you a lot of screen time and dialogue or monologue lines. These are unpaid (volunteer / collaborate) productions. Get your first credit, your acting demo, and establish new relationships with like-minded content creators. As we know – it’s very difficult to start up in film industry and (if you’re an actor) to get an agent. So, if you REALLY want to become an actor - join local indie film artists and students now, and create content! Don't just wait for big Hollywood films to come to town once a year, so you can be an INVISIBLE and UNCREDITED “extra”. ACT in local student projects! Also, if you have NO screen acting experience, but you truly BELIEVE that you have what it takes - COME and try out! These projects are 1 day (half a day) productions, sometimes in late March and April (based on actors' availability). This is “walk-in” audition (cold read or short personal monologue - if desired).
