Space is limited, so reserve your space early. �� Intermediate and advance level Shannon Sterne�is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Dance at Case Western Reserve University where she teaches Graham-based modern dance technique, dance kinesiology, and dance history. Previously, she danced internationally with the San Diego Ballet, toured nationally with the Dancing Wheels Company, and performed throughout southern California and Ohio as a freelance artist. She has had the pleasure of performing works by many notable choreographers including George Balanchine, Heinz Poll, Martha Graham, Pascal Rioult, David Rousseve, and Michael Uthoff. Her choreography has been met with critical acclaim nationwide, notably, at the San Diego International Fringe Festival, the OhioDance Festival, and at Cleveland Public Theatre. Sterne is also a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with research interests emphasizing nutrition and wellness for dancers. For Immediate Release: *Orange Community Education and Recreation* STAGECRAFTERS THEATRE Now accepting applications for Broadway Buddies Volunteers An elite group of high school and college volunteers are needed to fill our exceptional staff for a special needs theatre program in Pepper Pike, OH. Only a select few will be chosen. Must be responsible, patient, energetic, and all around AWESOME! * Singing and dancing required Volunteers will be paired with a student with special needs to guide the actor during the rehearsal process and performance. We have 2 sessions of camps to choose from - 1st session - Monday-Friday, June 6-10 8:30am-3:30pm 2nd session - Monday-Friday, July 25-29 8:30am-3:30pm Performances take place on the Friday of each session at 1pm and 6:30pm. MTC Seeking Tumbler/Gymnast for the role of the Carpet in Beauty and the Beast

Mercury Theatre Company is seeking a Tumbler /Gymnast for the role of the Magic Carpet in Beauty and the Beast. The actor (male or female) does not have to sing but be an accomplished gymnast and dancer. The role is paid for actors 18 and over. Will look at younger actors for this role. Rehearsals begin May 23. All rehearsals are Monday through Friday 6:30-10:30 and Saturdays 11:00-4:00. Sundays are Days Off. Performances are June 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25. Thursday performances at 7:00 PM. Friday and Saturday performances at 7:30PM and Sundays at 2:00. There is a double on Saturday June 25 at 2:00 and 7:30. Kent State University at Stark Theatre presents These Shining Lives Kent State University at Stark's 2015-16 theatrical season will close with These Shining Lives by Melanie Marnich. The play will be performed on April 22, 23, 29 and 30 at 8 p.m. and on April 24 and May 1 at 2:30 p.m. in the Kent State Stark Theatre, 6000 Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township. American Sign Language interpretation will be provided for the performance on May 1 at 2:30 p.m. Opening night is Scholarship Night with proceeds benefitting students in Kent State Stark theatre and music programs. Set in the 1920s, this impactful true account chronicles the strength and courage of female factory workers who hand paint glow-in-the-dark watch faces. When their health declines, proving their employer has poisoned them with radium becomes a valiant legal battle. Their story of survival is beautifully tragic as they strive to improve conditions for future working women. Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $7 for non-Kent State students, children under 17 and senior citizens. All Kent State students are admitted free of charge with current student ID. Tickets may be obtained beginning Monday, April 11. Good Morning!! I am so excited to be stepping into the role of Director for Playmakers Youth Theatre and our correlating summer program: Performing Arts Camp on June 1. Many of you know Sheri Gross and I'm pleased to say that the camp she has created and expanded here will be the same as it has been in the past! We have many returning counselors and the same awesome program. If you're looking for a great summer camp option for your kids, here's a bit more information: The Francine and Benson PilloffFamily Performing Arts Camp at Mandel JCC is anamazing theatre camp for kids grades K-9. Camp is divided into twosessions of four weeks. At the end of eachsession, campers put on three original shows divided by K-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9thgrade. Each child gets a line and a solo! In addition to rehearsals at camp, we have an awesome rotation of classes including drama, music, dance, and more. We swim every day at The J during our poolparty: Poolapalooza! (American Red Crossswim lessons are available at noadditional cost.) We have theme days on Thursdays, Shabbat on Fridays, a late night each session for theK-2nd grade group, and an overnight for the 3-9th gradegroup. We have cookouts twice/session as well.
