Playwrights Local announces the world premiere of “Objectively/Reasonable: A Community Response to the Shooting of Tamir Rice, 11/22/14.” Directed by Terrence Spivey, this documentary play addresses the impact and aftermath of the Tamir Rice shooting, expressing unheard voices from the Cudell neighborhood and Greater Cleveland. Created by an ensemble of playwrights, “Objectively/Reasonable” is a collage of original monologues based on interviews with legal experts, social critics, and everyday people. For Immediate Release: Orange Community Education and Recreation *STAGECRAFTERS THEATRE* Now accepting applications for Broadway Buddies Volunteers An elite group of high school and college volunteers are needed to fill our exceptional staff for a special needs theatre program in Pepper Pike, OH. Only a select few will be chosen. Must be responsible, patient, energetic, and all around AWESOME! * Singing and dancing required Volunteers will be paired with a student with special needs to guide the actor during the rehearsal process and performance. For Immediate Release: *Orange Community Education and Recreation* STAGECRAFTERS THEATRE *STAGECRAFTERS TEEN ACADEMY ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR * *13 THE MUSICAL (for students in 8th - 12th Grade)* Stagecrafters announces auditions for 13 THE MUSICAL on *Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 12:00-3:00pm* at the Pepper Pike Learning Center, 32000 Chagrin Blvd, Pepper Pike. Please plan on staying for the entire audition from 12:00 – 3:00 pm 13 is a hilarious, coming-of-age musical about discovering that “cool” is sometimes where we least expect it. Evan Goldman is plucked from his fast-paced, preteen New York City life and plopped into a sleepy Indiana town following his parents divorce. Surrounded by an array of simpleminded middle school students, he needs to establish his place in the popularity pecking order. Can he situate himself on a comfortable link of the food chain... or will he dangle at the end with the outcasts?!? Auditions are open to students in grades 8–12. Those wishing to audition should come prepared to sing 32 measures of a song which showcases their vocal performance and song interpretation ability. An accompanist will be provided for those bringing sheet music and a CD player will be available for those wishing to audition with instrumental accompaniment trax. There will also be a dance combination to learn so comfortable clothes and jazz or tennis shoes should be worn. Audition packets can be downloaded at the Stagecrafters page of www.orangerec.com.
