Now it's time for a new chapter, as Frank and Joe solve "The Secret of the Old Queen" A Hardy Boys Musical Adventure, with book by Timothy Cope, music and lyrics by Paul Boesing Follow the clues listed below to reveal an evening of fun, festivity, song, and dance! The Hardy Boys and all of their pals - Chet, Iola, Callie, dad Fenton Hardy, Aunt Gertrude - are ready for another adventure, as they investigate a series of robberies in Bayport. You won't need a treasure map to make it to the show - the Hardy Boys are coming to a theatre near you! INFORMATION ON REGISTRATION: Registration is now open for Talespinner Children’s Theatre’s Fall Youth Theatre Arts Classes. This upcoming session, classes are September 17th - November 12th (no classes October 15th). At TCT, your young artist will have the chance to practice confidence, collaboration, expression and to stretch their imagination muscles with TCT's professional artist staff. TCT, Cleveland's only professional theatre for children, offers three in-house Youth Theatre Arts courses per year. They take place on location at TCT, 5209 Detroit Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44102—a 188 seat, ADA compliant theatre located on the eastern edge of the Detroit-Shoreway area of Cleveland's near west side. Auditions: Great Lakes Theater Seeks Child Actors - A Christmas Carol & Wait Until Dark

Great Lakes Theater Seeks Children for A Christmas Carol and Wait Until Dark The auditions, scheduled for Monday, September 12th, are by appointment only. (Cleveland, OH) - Great Lakes Theater (GLT) is seeking child actors of all cultures and backgrounds for roles in our 2016-2017 season. A Christmas Carol Children should be between the ages of seven to thirteen. They should be prepared to sing up to 16 bars of their favorite song and may be asked to read from the script. Rehearsals will begin on November 8th; with performance dates scheduled from November 22nd through December 23rd. Children auditioning for A Christmas Carol may not be fourteen years of age until December 24, 2016 or later. Wait Until Dark Seeking girls between the ages of nine to thirteen for the role of Gloria (a young looking, smart, strong, and somewhat precocious child.) Audition material for children auditioning for Wait Until Dark will be provided when appointments are confirmed. Wait Until Dark will begin its run in 2017 at Great Lakes Theater, then continue on to Idaho Shakespeare Festival for a run in the summer of 2017. Child cast may be asked to commit to full run at both companies. Rehearsals will begin at GLT on January 24th, 2017, with performance dates scheduled from February 17th - March 12th, 2017. Rehearsals will begin at ISF on May 16th, with performance dates scheduled from May 26th - July 30th, 2017. Auditions will be held on Monday, September 12th, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Playhouse Square Rehearsal Halls (1650 Chester Ave). Auditions are by appointment only. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Rabbit Run Theater and Lake Erie College hold auditions for first two shows of 2016-17 The Studio Series As part of the 2016 - 2017 collaborative season, The Studio Series, Lake Erie College Department of Theatre and Rabbit Run Theater announce open auditions for the upcoming productions of "Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike" and "Almost Maine". "Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike" written by Christopher Durang is directed by Ann Hedger, Programming Coordinator at The Fine Arts Association. "Almost Maine" by John Cariani is directed by Dr. Jerry C. Jaffe, Associate Professor of Theatre, Lake Erie College. Auditions are Monday, Aug. 15, and Tuesday, Aug. 16, at 6:30 p.m. both nights at the Royce Hall for the Fine and Performing Arts on the campus of Lake Erie College (off of Gillett St. in Painesville). Chekhov is alive and well in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, in "Vanua and Sonia and Masha and Spike". Adult siblings Vanya and Sonia reside in their old family home, mourning their lost dreams and missed opportunities. When their often-wrong, fortune-telling maid warns of impending dangers, and their movie star sister, Masha, arrives unexpectedly with young, sexy, boy toy, Spike, the family is launched into a rollicking weekend of one-upmanship, exposed nerves, and a lot of broken mugs. With wit and absurdity, Christopher Durang's Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike blends Chekhov's famous ennui with the modern-day toils and troubles of celebrity, social networking, and age into a laugh-out-loud comedy. On a cold, clear, moonless night in the middle of winter, all is not quite what it seems in the remote, mythical town of Almost, Maine. As the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, Almost's residents find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend-almost-in this delightful midwinter night's dream. Auditions will consist of readings from the script. No monologue need be prepared. Performance dates are Oct. 13 through Oct. 23 for "Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike" and Nov. 11 through Nov. 20 for "Almost Maine". All performances are at the C.K. The Fine Arts Association announces a Call for Submissions for: The 21st Annual One Act Festival - Ten Below The Fine Arts Association will once again showcase original, never been published 10-minute plays. Those chosen will be fully produced as part of the 21st Annual One Act Festival - Ten Below in February 2017 at The Fine Arts Association. NEW THIS YEAR: Only ONE 10-minute submission will be accepted per playwright. The number of plays to be produced will be at The Fine Arts Association's discretion and will depend on the mix of qualified submissions. The Mystery Lights - Garage Rock | New York NY In an era when the city kvetches that there’re no good NYC bands, when half of the music scene has split for sunny California, the Mystery Lights are an anomaly. Not only did these bold young men reverse the direction – optimistically migrating east against the tide from the west coast, but they also landed in the wormy apple to immerse themselves in the action and diversity of New York City. They all share a Ridgewood apartment in Queens, playing music and recording in their basement. Betting against the odds to live the archetypical 20th century downtown musician lifestyle in 2016, though inevitably further east of the bridge, they also play with the kind of conviction, immediacy, and raw power of their mighty ancestors – from the Velvets to the Voidoids and beyond.
