Tonight's performance of FEEL THE NOIZE has been MOVED to Ensemble Theater due to power outage. No amount of energetic belting could save FEEL THE NOIZE-THE 80s CONCERT from the ravages of this week's storm in Cleveland Heights. Although power has been restored to the Main Ticket Office, the Alma Theater remain without electricity today. FEEL THE NOIZE has been moved to Ensemble Theatre at 2843 Washington Blvd. All Cain Park tickets purchased for this event will be honored at Ensemble Theatre. Full refunds for FEEL THE NOIZE are available at the point of purchase due to the change in venue. For refund details, please call the Cain Park Ticket Office at 216-371-3000. Tapestries of Ohio is A Madrigal Troup based in the Warren/Youngstown area with a 20 year history. We currently have openings for 1 Alto and 1 Bass. Membership is for life until you choose to leave, not just one season. Our main event each year is a set of 4 Madrigal Christmas Dinners in early December. Music is mostly period acapella selections mixed with newer but still tradition pieces. Costumes are also period. We are a musical group first and an acting group second. Our focus is on high quality singing. Members are welcome from as far away as they are willing to drive for rehearsal season. AUDITIONS FOR "QUEEN OF THE MIST"by Michael John LaChiusa The Broadview Heights Spotlights Theater is seeking seven actor/strong singers for its upcoming production of Michael John LaChiusa’s Queen of the Mist. This will be the second production of this piece after the 2011 New York City premiere. Auditions will be Sunday, August 14, from 3:00 – 5:00PM and Monday, August 15, from 7:00 PM to 9:00PM, and will be held at the Broadview Heights Cultural Arts Building, Home of the Spotlights Theater, 9543 Broadview Road (on the Broadview Center property, next to the Police Department). Callbacks, if necessary, will be held by invitation only on a to-be-determined date later in the week. Those auditioning should bring a list of conflicts between September 6 and November 20. Potential cast must be available for weekend performances between November 4 – 20, 2016. The show will be directed by Tim Anderson and music directed by Ryan Bergeron. The directors strongly suggest that auditioners view the Spotlights’ website below (including the embedded videos about the original production), be familiar the show and its style, and prepare two short musical selections: 1. One song that showcases your ability to sing legit (non-pop/rock) music. 2. Playwrights Local announces the world premiere of “Objectively/Reasonable: A Community Response to the Shooting of Tamir Rice, 11/22/14.” Directed by Terrence Spivey, this documentary play addresses the impact and aftermath of the Tamir Rice shooting, expressing unheard voices from the Cudell neighborhood and Greater Cleveland. Created by an ensemble of playwrights, “Objectively/Reasonable” is a collage of original monologues based on interviews with legal experts, social critics, and everyday people.
