Fusion Marketing Group is looking to expand our talent base for fall/winter appearances. Performers do not need to have professional dance experience, but a dance background is preferred. The majority of our live shows and events are based in Northeast Ohio, but we perform nationwide. A flexible schedule is appreciated. Swordfighters needed for Ohio Shakespeare Festival premiere production at new Greystone Hall stage

Ohio Shakespeare Festival's first production at our new indoor theatre at Greystone Hall in Akron will take place this October. Title will be announced first week of September. Directed by Tess Burgler, Fight Choreography by Ryan Zarecki. We are seeking three featured ensemble actors (male or female) who are primarily fighters/swordsmen. Much fight choreography to learn in a short rehearsal process. Must be athletic/coordinated, previous fight experience a major plus. Stipend for all performers (no additional AEA contracts avaliable). And if the mess is any indication, it's no wonder that his wife left him. Late to arrive is Felix Unger who has just been separated from his wife. Fastidious, depressed and none too tense, Felix seems suicidal, but as the action unfolds Oscar becomes the one with murder on his mind when the clean-freak and the slob ultimately decide to room together with hilarious results as The Odd Couple is born. He is very liberal in his view of relationships. Age: 30 to 40 Vocal range: Baritone Jenny-Quietly manipulative, simultaneously square and wise. Loves her husband, David, and will indulge him from time to time. Age: 30 to 40 Vocal range: Soprano David-Jenny's husband, he is relaxed and always in control. Believes a man should be married and that the sacrifice of freedom is worth what you get in return. Age: 30 to 40 Vocal range: Baritone Amy-A frantic neurotic engaged to Paul but terrified of marriage. After a mental breakdown, she finally realizes that Paul is, in fact, her soulmate. Age: 25 to 35 Vocal range: Mezzo-Soprano/Alto Paul- Amy's fiancé. Mildly clingy, but patient to her neurotic nature. Too old to be part of the young crowd, but not old enough to be part of the older crowd. Puts on a brassy front that melts when she is alone with her husband. WHAT Lorain County Community College Theatre Department is looking for students and community members to audition for its Fall Mainstage production, the wildly hilarious, grotesque, taboo-shattering, ground breaking avant-garde classic, UBU ROI, by Alfred Jarry, directed by Terence Cranendonk. This is a non-equity production. Rehearsals will begin Monday, October 3 and performance dates are November 17, 18, and 19, 2016. If you are cast, expect to rehearse Monday through Thursday evenings, as well as Sunday afternoons, for 4 to 5 hours. WHAT TO PREPARE: Please prepare a two-minute ³mini performance² that incorporates speaking text (a theatrical monologue, a poem, or a passage from a novel or short story, for example) and a special skill that you have (such as acrobatics, gymnastics, tumbling/rolling, magic, mentalism, puppetry, ventriloquism, juggling, unicycling, playing spoons, ukulele, playing a musical instrument of any kind, hula hooping, baton twirling, dancing, singing, yo-yoing, bird calling, kazoo, etc.) If you do not have any of the skills on this list, please add one of your ownthis is not an optional part of the audition. I am looking for your creativity in being able to combine your text with another skill. Remember, playing an instrument (even a kazoo) or singing qualifies. You may also be asked to read selections from the script and to improvise with other members of your audition group. Please also come prepared to write down all your schedule conflicts. About the Instructor: Lauren Nichols worked, lived and trained in Los Angeles with Lesly Kahn & Co, Tim Phillips Studio, and the famous Groundlings School of Improv. She appeared in Todrick Hall's series "Pop Star High" and recorded the original cast recording for the series. That project lead to taping the MTV pilot "Todrick". Lauren also had a costar role on "Scandal" and played opposite of Milo Ventimiglia in the film "Madtown". She was cast in the film "Dog Eat Dog" which held the illustrious spot of being the closing night film for this year's Cannes Film Festival. In "Dog Eat Dog" she acts opposite of Nicolas Cage, and that film is set to announce distribution this Fall. Lauren most recently wrapped the Hulu/Funny or Die project "Triumph's Summer Election Special" where she was able to work with Robert Smigel, former SNL writer and creator of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog. A proud member of SAG-AFTRA, Lauren teaches actors in the Cleveland area integral skills of script analysis, on camera audition techniques, and how to market yourself and launch your career in this exciting industry.
