Olde Towne Hall Theatre presents "Camping with Henry and Tom", a play in two acts directed by Skip Corris. On July 24, 1921, three men drove into the woods outside Licking Creek, Maryland: President Warren G. Harding - President of the United States, Henry Ford - "The Man Who Put America on Four Wheels" and Thomas Alva Edison - "The Wizard of Menlo Park". A few hours later, with the aid of Secret Service Man Colonel Edmund Starling they emerged from the woods and they were never the same again. This is the story of what might have happened. This Off - Broadway hit is a hilarious adventure with surprising relevance to today's politics and an inside look at three American souls. The play was Winner of the Outer Critic's Award & the Lucille Lortel Award for the Best Off-Broadway Play of the 1995 Season Performances are September, 23, 24, 30, October 1, 7 & 8 at 7:30 pm & October 2 at 3 pm. Theatre 8:15 Auditions 9 Plays by Alex J Nine - Auditions Auditions for an evening of short plays written by Alex J Nine and directed by Greg Bealer and Kendra Schaefer. Plays include (titles subject to change): My Hero Old, Fat, & Unemployed The One Who Got Away The Fulton The Spider's Nest The Nature of Evil ...And Some by Virtue Fall Greatness Thrust Upon Him The End? Auditions will take place at Theatre 8:15, 4740 Massillon Rd, Green, OH 44232 on Sunday Sept 11 at 6:00 and Monday Sept 12 at 7:00. Auditions will consist of cold readings from several of the plays. Total roles available for 10-11 Men 20's to 60's and 13-14 Women 18 to 60's but many will probably be doubled between plays. Performances dates are Friday and Saturdays at 8:15PM from Nov 4 - Nov 19. The classes are centered around The Sanford Meisner Technique, also known as THE METHOD. Through the Meisner system, the actor becomes fearless and gains a strong confidence that can be applied to all areas of life. The four week class helps the young actor develop a love for the work, and with this, the ability to survive and work as an actor. Using a series of sensory memory exercises the actor will work on a single piece of work for 4 weeks learning how to look at the work from different angles and explore how the method can help the work evolve into a living breathing scene. This is what is commonly known as "method acting." SPACE IS LIMITED SO REGISTER TODAY! Classes will be held at 6602 Detroit Ave, Cleveland, OH - Gordon Square on September 12th, 19th, 26th and October 3rd at 7pm.
