The success of the audience connecting with the piece is complete immersion within the play, and more importantly, the journey of each character arc. This particular production achieves its goal of presenting the fractured America, that unfortunately, affects many. 2017 Great Lakes Medieval Faire

The first two sessions of auditions for the 2017 Great Lakes Medieval Faire will be held Sunday, January 29th and Sunday, February 26th from noon to 4pm at Best Friends Restaurant in Geneva. For our principal cast, we need four men preferably age 30+ to play our Knights Templar: -Richard Mallebeench, Master of the Templars in England -Gilbert de Lacy -Sir Roger St. Leger -Sir William de Harcourt We also need talented actors to portray our main villainous nobles the Earl Edmund of Lancaster and his wife Blanche of Artois, as well as their hired help; a chaotic neutral group of rogues and their leader. This year, our principal cast is based on people that actually existed (save for the rogues. They were just added for dramatic effect). Please research the character you are auditioning for, and tailor your audition piece appropriately. While the names of our leads are historically accurate, the age of the actor portraying them does not have to be. In addition to these named characters we also need to fill the following roles: 2 ladies maids to Lady Blanche 2 footmen to the Earl A Faerie princess 4+ elemental fae A mysterious Oracle A Wizard A Court Jester Four Squires to the Knights 6 to 8 Rogues A sheriff to the village of Avaloch The Mayor of Avaloch As well as, of course, a diverse and wide cast of villagers. VO 101 - Free Voiceover Workshop

The people telling you that voiceover is a license to print money working in your pajamas are lying to you. VO today is a tough, overcrowded field; it’s no place for the half-hearted and the hobbyist. If you’re interested in doing the work to get the rewards, consider joining us for a free workshop called “VO 101.” This is basically, well, basics. The business aspects of voiceover (“How do I get work?”), the performance aspects (“What do they mean by ‘salesy but real’?”), the technical aspects (“Do I really need a home studio?”) - pretty much anything you want to know. The workshop is for people who haven’t done voiceover before, who don’t have a professionally-produced demo, or who have made some steps in the industry but feel like they don’t yet have a solid foundation underneath them. The date is Saturday, February 18th. The time is 10am. (It may last 2 or 3 hours, but you may leave when you need to.) The place is Colors Audio in Southeast Akron. CPT is now Requesting Proposals for the 17/18 Season

Dear Northeast Ohio artists, CPT is planning the 2017-2018 Season, and once again we are reaching out to you for great ideas. CPT is focused on new work that is surprising, unexpected and somehow outside the realm of conventional theatre. CPT is looking for proposals from Northeast Ohio artists for complete projects. Proposals may be for world premieres, second or third US productions, radical re-envisionings of classic plays or other projects. The show could be your own show or a script you would like to work on. Based on the success of past co-productions and our New Play Development series, we are also interested in creating opportunities for artists and groups that would like to retain greater ownership of projects and who can share risk with CPT. Before sending a proposal: * Take time to look at CPT's recent seasons-these are excellent examples of our programming choices.
