New World Performance Lab signs on to join THE GHOSTLIGHT PROJECT At 5:30pm on JANUARY 19, 2017 NWPL will join over 500 theaters, ensembles and companies, high school and university theater programs will gather across the country to light a light and make a pledge to stand for and protect the values of inclusion, participation, and compassion for everyone - regardless of race, class, religion, country of origin, immigration status, (dis)ability, gender identity, or sexual orientation. www.theghostlightproject.com #GhostlightProject #BeALight #AllAreWelcome Akron, OH: The Ghostlight Project will bring together over 500 participating organizations in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. >From Broadway to high school auditoriums, members of the theater community will gather from coast to coast on January 19, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. in each time zone to light a light and make a pledge. Inspired by the theatrical tradition of keeping a “ghost light” on in a darkened theater, we create light for the challenging times ahead. >From its beginnings, NWPL has set out to create art which honors cultural diversity. Artists and audience members are welcomed to our space, regardless, and in celebration of their differences. Our country now faces a period of uncertainty, during which the values of inclusion will be challenged. This Thursday, NWPL will renew our commitment to social action. Our members will publicly pledge to continue working, in our space and throughout the Akron community, with mindfulness and respect for all peoples. The short film "Expired" casting and crew notice! This production is an independent short film which will be shot in Cleveland, specifically around the University Circle area. The project is a short narrative film about murder and revenge. It is a twisting and turning tension film full of unique and challenging characters. Our production team is looking for great actors and crew members to create the highest quality content we can. Please note that actors will be paid solely in IMBD credit, and this is a non-union production. Roles being cast are... *Graham*: Male, between the ages of 20 and 25. He is an average looking person. A face you might lose in a crowd. After the death of his sister he stopped taking care of himself becoming thin and a meek. *Vin*: White male, mid 30’s. The local loan shark. He is a large brutish looking fellow. An overgrown bully type. *Laura*: Female, between the ages of 25 and 35. Should be shorter than 5'9". She is a sex worker. She is attractive but her youth is escaping her faster than she would like. *The Mayor*: White male, 50 or older. A gentlemanly grandfather type. He is currently campaigning to become an Ohio senator. Despite having all the power in his small town he still want's more. Crew members needed… *Audio Mixer* Price: Negotiable Will be needed on set for 3-4 day of shooting, and give us the audio after the shoot. *Color Grader* Price: Negotiable Color grading clips in the post-production phase.
