Short. Sweet. Film Fest. March 3 - 5 Alex Theater @ The Metropolitan at the 9 The Short. Sweet. Film Fest. strives to showcase the best local, national, and international films from up-and-coming filmmakers. What better way to watch independent cinema then in the stunning and brand-new Alex Theater <http://alextheatercleveland.com/> at the Metropolitan at the 9 <http://www.metropolitancleveland.com/> while enjoying a cool beer or cocktail with some gourmet food? Did we mention there will also be live music throughout the film festival? *Friday, March 3 - Local Filmmaker's Night*, doors open at 6:00pm and films will run from 7-10:30pm, followed by live music and a local filmmaker's networking/social event. *Saturday, March 4* doors open at 11:00am and films will run from 12noon-9:30pm, followed by live music and a filmmaker's networking/social event. We will include several other *local films *throughout the day as well as excellent films from the United States covering genres of drama, comedy, documentary, animation, horror, LGBTQ, and experimental. *Sunday, March 5* doors open at 11:00am and films will run from 12noon-8:00pm. There will be a short intermission at 4:00pm which includes live music. We will feature several *International *films on this day. The evening will conclude with showings of the 2017 Short. Sweet. Film Fest. award winners. All patrons can come-and-go throughout the festival as long as they keep their wristband on. VINCENT LIGHTING SYSTEMS Job Posting Outside Sales SUMMARY: Service current and prospective customers by effectively selling products and/or services to meet the customer's needs while achieving profitable outcomes in northern and central Ohio. This is a full-time position. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Contact existing and potential customers for sales of theatre and special application lighting systems, related equipment and services, by planning and organizing daily work schedule. * Work with system specifiers in the design and engineering field for assistance in lighting system design, utilizing products offered by Vincent Lighting Systems. * Create and present sales quotes for lighting projects and related equipment/services to customers. * Coordinate and provide information on sales efforts with project management and other internal staff, to ensure proper execution of order(s). * Establish, develop and maintain excellent business relationships with current and prospective customers, vendors and colleagues to create "customers for life". * Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, expense reports, and other necessary paperwork. * Resolve issues by investigating, developing solutions, make recommendations, and follow up with the customer and internal staff to ensure all issues have been resolved. * Create and maintain records pertaining to sales territory and customer sales. * Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending trainings, product demonstrations, tradeshows and departmental meetings. * Other duties as assigned and directed. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION: * Must have a BA or BFA in technical theatre or 3-5 years related experience. * Excellent customer service skills are essential. * Must have the ability to evaluate a customer's needs and provide appropriate solutions. * Must be able to identify, negotiate and close opportunities with profitable outcomes. * Excellent organizational and time management skills are a must. * Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills (both written and verbal). * Good territory management and prospecting skills are a must. * A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows are required. * Must maintain a well-groomed and professional appearance. * Must have reliable transportation and a good driving record. * Prior technical sales experience and a theatre background is desired. We hope that you will join us in August, 2017 for the sixteenth annual benefit musical, JUDGE JACKIE: Disorder in the Court Book and lyrics by Christopher Dimond, Music by Michael Kooman, Based on a concept by Van Kaplan With an all-star cast, featuring Brian Altman, Trey Gilpin, Jeffrey Glover, Kevin Joseph Kelly, Pat Miller, Rachel Spence and Monica Olejko as Judge Jackie Plan to be a part of Judge Jackie’s courtroom, as she faces an assortment of wacky plaintiffs and deluded defendants! Dates and locations for this two-nights-only event will be announced shortly. It’s a chance to support the AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland (ATFGC) or the Community AIDS Network/Akron Pride Initiative (CAN/API) and have a great time while doing it!
