We have the Ronin Stabalizer, plan is to make 1 solid take throughout the short. It is a non-union,paid job. Great to network and meet the local crew for Cleveland, and provide reel footage. The Education Associate works closely with and reports directly to the Director of Community Ensembles/Brick City Theatre Program Director. This position is a year-round, full-time staff position, annually earning approximately 26,000-33,000 including significant overtime pay. Benefits included. The position requires a highly motivated and organized individual who will take on administrative, creative and teaching responsibilities in support of the continued expansion of Brick City Theatre and CPT's Family Collective, the family component of Brick City Theatre and CPT's other core education programs. The successful candidate will bring their talent and discipline to the Brick City Theatre and the Family Collective, proposing and implementing programming that supports the greater goals and vision of the program. The successful candidate will be collaborative, eager to learn, obsessed with working in the theatre and have experience in administration, education and performance. Ideal candidates will have experience in program management, curriculum planning and teaching theatre to children and adults with little or no previous exposure to the arts. Candidate must possess excellent logistic skills, and have the desire and creativity to create warm, exciting, empowering community experiences for our program's participants and families. The Education Associate will be responsible for assisting, inventing and facilitating Brick City Theatre and Family Collective programming. This includes - but is not limited to - family workshops; guardian-teacher conferences; teaching and creating curriculum for Brick City classes; facilitating and teaching adult-only workshops for CMHA residents; organizing and managing family field trips; conducting program evaluations; and providing teaching and administrative support to CPT's other core education programs. Reliable transportation is a plus. The Education Associate will also be expected to maintain their own artistic work at Cleveland Public Theatre, while also contributing their skills, energy and talents to the larger organization. This includes - but is not limited to - production assistance on community events: Station Hope, Road to Hope, Test Flight, Fall Fest, Pandemonium; audience engagement planning; technical support on mainstage productions; performance and artistic opportunities on mainstage productions. Cassidy Youth Theatre Summer 2017 Youth Theater Programs YOUTH CLASSES Youth class sessions begin June 19th, and the final class session ends August 5th. See individual class descriptions for dates and times. STARDUST! 4-7 year olds Instructor: Alyssa Herbell Mondays 10:00 a.m.- 10:45 a.m. Here’s a fun way for your youngest students to get their start in theatre! This non-stressful approach to basic acting, singing, and movement will teach your littlest stars to twinkle! Students will work on imagination, memorization, and team work, as well as the technical basics of putting on a show. The final day of class includes a short free performance for family and friends. TWO WEEK THEATER CAMPS! *Students will be divided into groups based on age SESSION A: Music and Acting! 8-18 year olds* Instructors: Rusu, Ivancic Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:00 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. June 20th—29th (Two Week Session) This active and exciting class focuses on singing and acting. The class provides a safe environment for students to bring music to life. Students will learn healthy vocal techniques, use acting skills to create characters while singing, and develop audition skills. This class will benefit students of all abilities and experience levels. SESSION B: Acting and Dance! 8-18 year olds* Instructors: Tabar, Ivancic Monday July 3, Thursday July 6, Tuesday July 11, Thursday July 13. 10:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. *Dates due to 4th of July Holiday In this awesome acting and dance class, students will be instructed in improvisation, character work, and basic acting techniques. Students will also learn basic dance techniques, terminology and do choreography to Broadway hits! The class is designed to benefit students of all abilities and experience levels (basic reading skills are a HUGE plus). Get ready to get on your feet! SESSION C. Music and Dance 8– 18 year olds* Instructors: Rusu, Tabar Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:00 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. July 18th—27th (Two Week Session) This active and exciting class focuses on singing and dancing. This is the perfect class for kids who love musical theater. Students will work together to sing and dance Broadway favorites in a safe and creative environment. Students will learn basic vocal and dance terminology, and develop audition skills. This class will benefit students of all abilities and experience levels. SESSION D. Musical Theater Showcase! 8-18 year olds* Instructors: Rusu, Tabar Tuesday and Thursday, 10:00 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. August 1st-5th with performance on August 5th **Students must be enrolled in at least one other session to take Session D Students will meet for one week to create a showcase using materials from what they have learned in sessions A-C. Students will work in the areas of music, acting, and dance to create a free performance for family and friends which will be performed Saturday August 5th at 12:00 p.m. * NOTE ON OUR NEW SUMMER SESSIONS! We have come up with the perfect balance for those who want a little OR a lot of theatre Instruction for the Summer. This is an active and exciting selection of classes for students of all experience levels to study acting, singing, and/or dance. Rubber City Theatre is seeking two-three men for the ensemble of our upcoming production of PIPPIN. The show opens on August 11 and runs until August 27th at The Well CDC, 647 E Market St. Akron, OH 44304. Rehearsals are Sundays from 4:00pm-10pm, Mondays through Thursdays 6:30pm-10:00pm. Double Tech is on the Sunday prior to opening from 2:00pm-11:00pm, and Tech Week is 6:30pm-10:30pm. Shows are Thursday through Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2:30pm. "The Glass Menagerie" opens June 9 at ABOB!

The Tennessee Williams classic drama “The Glass Menagerie” will debut this weekend at Arlene’s Broadway on Buffalo in Conneaut, OH. The show will run June 9-11 and 16-17 at the theater, 236 Buffalo Street in Conneaut. Set in 1937, the play tells the story of a domineering former Southern belle desperate to find a “gentleman caller” for her devastatingly shy and crippled daughter, Laura. It is billed as a “memory play,” and includes autobiographical elements from Williams’ life. The cast includes: Babs Legeza as the mother, Amanda Wingfield; Jordan Novitsky as the daughter, Laura Wingfield; David Jones as the rebellious poet son, Tom Wingfield; and John Mussig as Jim O’Conner, the “gentleman caller.” The play has been called “a drama of great tenderness and beauty. ‘The Glass Menagerie’ rightfully holds a place as a classic of modern American dramas.” It was the play that launched Williams’ career. All showtimes are at 7:30 p.m., and the theater doors open at 6:45 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students, and are available at the door. Parking is on-street and in nearby business lots.
