Conductor needed

The Cleveland Letter Carrier Band is still looking for a conductor. We are a Thursday evening band and are sponsored by the National Association of Letter Carriers. Letter Carrier bands have a long and proud tradition in our country, though sadly Cleveland's is one of only seven left. This is a voluntary position with a small stipend available. The band plays all around the Cleveland area, and some years is expected to play at either state or national conventions. If interested, our first rehearsal for the Christmas season will be Thursday, October 5, 7:30pm, at the Brooklyn Heights Church of Christ, 2005 W. Schaaf Road, 44109. Please stop by to audition. Dear Cleveland Artistic Community, We are excited to invite you to an event related to the future of *Ensemble Theatre* in Cleveland Heights, and our involvement with a unique and one of a kind vision for the future of the *Coventry P.E.A.C.E.Campus*. The project is a redevelopment proposal that honors and builds on the 100-year history of this unique site as a center for arts, education and community gatherings. The proposal is being developed by leaders of the tenant organizations and Coventry P.E.A.C.E. Inc., the non-profit that maintains the park and playground. We are aided by outside experts who have been lending their time to the cause architect Paul Volpe and real estate attorney Lee Chilcote. Our group has been working since May, when the tenants were informed they would need to move to month-to-month leases, to make way for the School District’s possible plan to transfer ownership of the property to the City of Cleveland Heights. Fall auditions are here and are you prepared? Dr. Christopher Hutton, Baritone, is taking new voice students and excited to get you physically and mentally prepared for auditions and performances. Dr. Hutton has a Masters Degree and Doctorate of Music Arts degrees in Vocal Pedagogy (Science of Singing) from Arizona State University, and is fluent in teaching both belting/music theatre technique and classical technique. Christopher attended Youngstown State University where he received his Bachelors in Voice Performance. He has also performed opera at regional opera houses for over thirteen years. Dr. Hutton offers free consultations to those interested before committing to the voice studio.
