Hello Cleveland Talent! I would like to hire an actor for a commercial video to promote my startup company's product. It's a smartphone app that is used to create custom-sized furniture. The video would be shot at the One Midtown luxury condominiums located at 7209 Euclid, Cleveland. If possible, I would like to shoot the video during the week of July 9th. She began her training at Angela’s Dance Studio and Mary Kay Manning Dance Studio. She got her degree in dance and business at Eastern Michigan University. She danced competitively throughout high school and was a member of both her high school and college dance teams. Michelle debuted her original choreography in the Eastern Michigan University student composition concerts; as well as for the EMU Dance Team. Michelle opened Dance Studio M in 2007. Since its inception, Dance Studio M has more than doubled in size, increasing the total number of weekly classes offered and students served. Michelle instructs students of all ages in the genres of ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, modern, lyrical, contemporary, pointe, and acro. In 2015, Michelle received her certification from Acrobatic Arts in both Module I and II. Michelle continues to train with conventions and master classes. She has continually supplemented her dance education with intensives and workshops throughout her entire career; training at American College Dance Festival, Broadway Dance Center, Millennium Dance Complex, Mark Morris Dance, Jump, Nuvo, Dancemakers, Pulse, Tremaine and the Edge PAC. Over the last 10 years, Michelle has directed and choreographed for Dance Studio M’s annual winter shows and recitals. She has expanded Dance Studio M’s award winning competition team; which has doubled in size since the inaugural year in 2014. By turns wicked, funny, warm, romantic and touching, The Music Man is family entertainment at its best. Meredith Willson's six-time, Tony Award-winning musical comedy has been entertaining audiences since 1957 and is a family-friendly story to be shared with every generation. The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band that he vows to organize – this, despite the fact that he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain's fall Performances are Friday and Saturday, July 6 and July 7 at 7:30 pm; and Sunday July 8 at 2:00 PM. WHAT - JAZZ AGE LAWN PARTY AND SWING DANCE with live music and dance instruction This is THE dance to bring out your seersucker suits, knickers, and flowy flapper dresses! The Night Owls will play all of your favorite 1920s tunes in the ballroom. During the band breaks we will have activities outside on the lawn and the veranda including croquet, badminton, cool treats, and all shellac DJ sets by Valerie Salstrom. WHERE - The Lakewood Masonic Temple swing dance is the longest running swing dance in the Cleveland area. Amazing live music and DJs have been keeping everyone's toes tapping the second Friday of every month since before 1998. The Lakewood Masonic Temple is located at 15300 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio. There is a large parking lot behind the building. Enter through the front doors. This month we will have activities on the lawn and veranda. WHEN - From 8-9pm Get Hep Swing instructors lead a beginner-friendly, partnered Charleston lesson. 9-12 the Night Owls hit the stage. THE BAND - The Night Owls are a unique 10 piece orchestra specializing in the authentic performance of the irresistible hot dance music of the 1920’s — the Golden Age of Jazz! The tuxedo-clad Night Owls perform songs such as “You’re Driving Me Crazy” and “Crazy Words, Crazy Tunes”, as well as fox trots, waltzes, and standards of the 20’s such as “Baby Face.” ATTIRE - 1920s-30s daytime attire is encouraged but not necessary. COST - Dances are $12 per person, $10 for students and seniors with a valid ID. WHO MAY ATTEND? You do not need to bring a dance partner but you may be dancing with lots of different people during the lesson and while the band plays, if you like. If you want to only dance with the person you bring with you, that is fine too. You do not need previous dance experience. We do hope you bring a positive and open mind and attitude. We welcome anyone to join us who has an interest in dance, music, socializing and fun. We don't care what your physical ability or size is, where you are in life, where you are on the spectrum of sexual or gender orientation, what color or creed, or non-creed, you are. Are you a man who wants to learn how to follow or a woman who wants to learn how to lead? That's cool! This idea is not new to the swing dance scene. We are the easiest club to join. If you have an interest, you are in. :) WHO WE ARE - We are the swing dance company Get Hep Swing. Get Hep Swing is lead by owner, founder, and multi-year national and international swing dance champion, Valerie Salstrom. We love spreading the gospel of swing dancing and we are excited to share the language and culture of this truly American, urban folk dance form with you. It is important for us to let you know that this dance style started in the African-American ballrooms of Harlem, New York in the late 1920s/early 1930s. This dance has a gritty earthiness that is incredibly empowering and joyful. We can't wait for you to experience this conversation of dance with us.
