The irony of this Hell is that its torture is not of the rack and fire, but of the burning humiliation of each soul as it is stripped of its pretenses by the cruel curiosity of the damned. CASTING NOTICE Playwrights Local <http://www.playwrightslocal.org/> seeks actors for a workshop process and staged reading in our 2019-2020 Play Lab <http://www.playwrightslocal.org/2019-2020-play-lab/>. The actors will work closely with director Erik Andrews and playwright Greg A. Smith on Sanzaru, a new play in progress. 3 actors are sought for 3-5 working sessions involving structured ensemble exploration fueled by images and themes from the play. The playwright will be present and will revise the material based on this process. The final outcome will be a public staged reading at Playwrights Local. Actors will be paid a modest honorarium. HEATHERS School Edition Auditions at The MAD* Factory in Oberlin High School students Ages 14-19, come audition for the amazing cult classic "Heathers". (If cast, parental permission is required due to adult themes) WHAT: Plan on staying the entire time. Please prepare one 32 bar cut in the style of the show. Please have sheet music in a binder. Accompanist will be provided. We will listen to everyone's excerpts, read from the script, and learn a short dance combination. Please bring all scheduling conflicts. WHERE: The MAD* Factory, 39 South Main Street Suite 310, Oberlin,Ohio 44074 WHEN: Either December 1 from 6-9 or December 2 from 4-7. Callbacks will be December 9 from 6-9.
