Chagrin Valley Little Theater is looking for crew members for it's upcoming production of Mamma Mia! We need backstage help as well as one follow spot operator. No experience necessary and these are volunteer positions. You will want to be a part of this outstanding production!!! Show runs March 22 - April 14, Fridays and Saturday nights 8pm with 2 matinees March 31 and April 14 at 2pm. Independence Community Theater is Announcing Auditions for Squabbles Written by Marshall Karp Produced by special arranges with Samuel French, Inc. This hilarious play pits a father-in-law against a mother in a comedic succession of squabbles. Jerry Sloan is a successful writer of advertising jingles married to an equally successful lawyer. Living with the happy couple is the not so happy Abe Dreyfus, Jerry’s curmudgeon of father-in-law. Abe is funny a guy to the audience, not to Jerry. The situation is exacerbated when Jerry’s mother Mildred looses her house in a fire and needs a place to stay. Abe and Mildred can’t stand each other. This play is one hilarious confrontation after another until the heart-warming finale in which the oldsters discover that, really, each is not so bad. Cast of Characters: 4 men, 3 women Character ages flexible Abe Dreyfus (60++): retired cab driver, Alice’s father Mildred Sloan (60+); Jerry’s mother Jerry Sloan (30+); jingle writer, Alice’s husband Alice Sloan (Mid 20’s+); lawyer, Jerry’s wife Hector Lopez (30-50); Hispanic handyman? Sol Wasserman (60+); retired pharmacist, neighbor Mrs. Fisher (30+); a governess Auditions will consist cold readings from the script on March 4th and 5th from 7:30 to 9 pm. No appointment necessary. Please bring head shot, resume if you have them and a list of conflicts. Rehearsal will begin March 18th and will generally run Sunday – Thursday from 7 to 9, depending on actors availability.
