In need of 2 people to act as an employee of a store via phone call. Need 1 women whom could act as a store employee that doesnt really care about their job (50-55 year old female) close to retirement AND 1 female that has some (not a lot) of personality. Probably someone whom is a model working at a fashion store This is more of an experiment so just act normal. Everything is pg appropriate since the target audience is under 18 Conversation on the phone will take anywhere from 5-10 minutes. WIll pay via paypal $5. You do not need to go/be anywhere. EVENT: Results of the Dover Players 10 Minute Play Competition! July 19-21 featured the performances of a variety of twelve 10 minute plays that were the finalists from over 65 international plays submitted to Dover Players. Six plays were performed on Fri., July 19 and six plays were performed on Sat., July 20. The top 3 plays from Fri. and the top 3 plays from Sat. evening performances, as voted by the audience, competed on Sun., July 21. These 6 plays were critiqued by 3 judges not affiliated with Dover Players or the playwrights. Award certificates were presented to Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Costumes, and Best Creative Writing - the playwright award. The playwright award included a framed certificate, monetary gift and a picture of the Dover Players director and cast who performed the winning play. EDDIE AND EDNA (directed by Greg Lavelle) Sometimes it becomes a struggle to sort out the real from the imagined. Sometimes, even those closest cannot help. LOVESICK (directed by Tim Peebles) At the Institute, some time in the not too distant future, Tom and Marybeth find that love among coworkers does not always work out. SUPER INTERVIEW (directed by Lisa Carter) Mr. Melvin interviews Mrs. Smith for an important position in his company, but it seems that Smith's super qualifications might not be enough to win the job. A BOX OF ASHES (directed by Adam Leventhal) A man and a woman seek the help of a psychic to discover the reason a spirit seems to be present in the woman's house and, in the process, discover a surprising revelation. This rehearsal process will be conventional in nature and based in character development, song, and basic dance. There may be some scene creation during the rehearsal process. Actors will be expected to make strong proposals, be generous, and meet deadlines given. Rehearsals will begin on or around October 14th. Rehearsals are 5-6 times a week, with evening weekday rehearsals and some daytime weekend rehearsals. Performances begin with a preview on November 21st and opening on November 22nd. FINAL WEEKEND! CONVERGENCE-CONTINUUM PRESENTS THE OHIO PREMIERE OF TOM AT THE FARM a psycho-sexual thriller by Michel Marc Bouchard, translated by Linda Gaboriau “Tom at the Farm ... unfolds with blurred boundaries between lust and brutality, truth and fiction. It blends psychological-thriller elements as it moves toward an unsettling plunge into a nightmare of fear, intolerance and fantasy.” (Roy Berko, _Cleveland Theatre Reviews_) Following the accidental death of his lover, junior ad exec Tom travels from the city to a remote farm in the country for the funeral. There he finds a religious family who knows nothing of his existence, and is blindsided by his dead boyfriend’s legacy of lies. The mother is expecting a girlfriend, while his late boyfriend’s brother is obsessed with preserving a facade of “normalcy,” which causes some awkwardly funny moments when Tom’s gal-pal shows up. However, the brother’s perverse obsession also brings him to drag Tom into a twisted and brutal sexually-charged game to strong-arm Tom into joining in on the lies, until Tom finally confronts the torment that drove his lover to live in the shadows of deceit. Invited callbacks, if necessary, will be held on Wednesday, August 14. Auditions will be held at the Broadview Heights Spotlights Theater, 9543 Broadview Road (next to the Police Station), Broadview Heights, OH 44147. The show will be directed by Tim Anderson, music directed by Ryan Bergeron, and choreographed by Zac Hudak. Performers of all ethnicities (ages 15 and up) are invited to audition. The roles of Tateh and Mother have been cast; all other roles are open. Solon Center for the Arts has an opening for a part-time Theater Instructor, not to exceed 28 hours per week. Qualified Applicants should have completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater or Theater Education from an accredited institution or have related work experience equivalent to such a degree. Graduate experience and knowledge of Technical Theater a plus. Interested applicants must have a minimum of two years teaching and/or directing Youth Theater experience (within the last five years). Responsibilities also include lesson creation, planning, preparation, instruction and directing youth/intergeneration productions. This position involves daytime, evening and weekend hours. The hourly rate is based upon experience and qualifications. Candidates for this position will work closely with the Theater Coordinator and must be able to work with students of all ages and skill levels. Applicants must display a professional demeanor at all times and possess leadership qualities in and out of the classroom.
