CALLING ALL DANCERS ages 18+, from the professionals to the beginners, if you're looking for a fun performance opportunity, to challenge yourself with a new style of dance or perfect an old one...or even just looking to make friends with other Cleveland dancers, come out for the eighth OPEN CALL placement audition, all levels of dance experience and all styles of dance welcome and encouraged! This audition process will allow dancers to meet the choreographers and audition for dances of their choice in a friendly group environment that will allow dancers to learn some basic choreography and display their own dance style and personality. We will do our best to place everyone who attends in at least one piece! You must be available for our showcase, tentatively on Saturday Nov 20 at Brecksville-Broadview Heights Middle School, as well as for tech and dress rehearsals on Thurs/Fri Nov 18 & 19 in the evening. REHEARSALS will be held once a week for 90 minutes, from September 9 to Nov 17. Rehearsal schedule & choreographer introduction videos are on our website at www.clevelanddanceproject.com/choreographers Pre-registration is REQUIRED as space is limited. There is a $25 nonrefundable audition fee for all dancers. Payment will save your spot. In addition to the audition fee, dancers will owe $50 tuition per piece they are cast in (up to 3), or $25 per piece as an understudy. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE August 23, 2021 *MTC to Hold Auditions for The Rocky Horror Show!* *Youngstown, Ohio*- Let's do the Timewarp again! The Millennial Theatre Company (MTC) is holding auditions for the return of the cult classic, *The Rocky Horror Show! *Auditions will be held at Inspire Dance Center in McDonald (241 E Marshall Rd McDonald, OH 44437) on August 26th from 6-9pm and August 28th from 12-3pm. Rehearsals are slated to begin September 7 in Youngstown. All performers will need to be vaccinated for COVID-19 before rehearsals. Unvaccinated actors may audition, but will need to complete their COVID vaccine series before starting rehearsals. Proof of vaccination will be required before the first rehearsal. The show will be performed as an immersive production on October 21 at 7pm and 22-23 at both 7pm and midnight at B&O Station in Youngstown Ohio, directed by Joe Asente with musical direction by Constance Notter and choreography by Emma James. Auditioners (ages 16+) should prepare a 30-60 second cut of a song in the style of the show (preferably sheet music with chords). An accompanist will be provided. There will also be a cold read from the script. The role of “Columbia” has been cast, and all other roles are open. Headshots and resumes are encouraged, but not required. *The Rocky Horror Show* follows the story of sweethearts Brad and Janet, stuck with a flat tire during a storm, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a transvestite scientist. As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker and a creepy butler. Auditions for Upcoming Short Film Production

Hello, My name is Spencer DeVeau. I am the director and writer of an upcoming short film, *Missing*, that will be filming 9/24-9/26, and 10/1-10/3. We have 2 small acting roles that still need to be filled for the production. Descriptions of the characters are provided below: *Peter *(50s): An abusive husband and father with a serious drinking problem, who drives his daughter to run away from home. *Patricia* (late teens-mid 20s): Protagonist Annabelle’s best friend. A loyal friend who Annabelle can confide in, who runs into Annabelle four years after Annabelle ran away. These are two smaller roles that will not be required to be on set more than two of the six shooting days, so the scheduling can be flexible with these characters. We will be holding auditions for these roles on 9/9 and 9/10 at CSU’s School of Film & Media Arts, on the 6th floor of the IDEA Center, 1375 Euclid Ave, Cleveland OH. The exact room where auditions will be held is still TBD. The Access Theatre Project, in Mayfield, OH, seeks an immediate replacement for the following role in Edward Albee's *A Delicate Balance:* HARRY - 50+, Edna's husband and Tobias's best friend. Besides both having been businessmen and meeting at the same club, it is unclear what else Harry and Tobias have in common except that they have known one another for a long time and neither sleeps with his wife. Harry is something of a reflection of Tobias, but he is even more reserved. Of all the characters in this play, Harry speaks the least. And when he does speak, he is a man of few words with pauses around each one. Rehearsals for *A Delicate Balance* have already begun. The show opens on October 1st and will run for three weekends. The play is directed by Ron Newell and featured in our cast are Rose A Leininger and Jarrod Vullo. Inspired by hilarious memories of a childhood etiquette class, playwright Jeffrey Hatcher conjures up the world of a ten-year-old studying manners. This unique comic tale reveals truths about the face we present and the real selves that lie inside.
