Failed cellphone signals prevent rescue. The unrelenting snow provides water, but food is something only to be desperately wished for — unless, of course, Justin can convince Charlene that her beloved dog Charlie is the answer to all their culinary problems. ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT Laboring as a lone wolf or sometimes as a collaborator, Ed Walsh has had a number of efforts make it to the stage. In Northeast Ohio, his work has been produced at Dobama Theatre, Cuyahoga Community College-Western Campus Theatre, Berea Summer Theatre, Kent State University, John Carroll University, and Chagrin Valley Little Theatre-River Street Playhouse. Ensemble Theatre is another of Walsh’s venues. Two of his plays were performed there as part of The Colombi New Plays Festival. One of these, One-on-One, was later published. Walsh’s adaptation of Frankenstein was also published, as was his adaptation of The Red Badge of Courage. And it would be an oversight not to mention that Stranded, one of his personal favorite works, is included among the radio plays offered by Playwrights Local. Walsh resides in Bainbridge Township, where he spends much of the day playing with his dog Olivia, and the remainder of the day working on his next play. Cleveland Play House's mission is to inspire, stimulate and entertain diverse audiences across Northeast Ohio by producing plays and theatre education programs of the highest professional standards. Cleveland Play House (CPH) is seeking a Covid-19 Safety Officer to join the artistic and production team. This position will ensure that COVID-19 safety requirements as defined by Cleveland Play House under guidelines with Actors' Equity Association (AEA), United Scenic Artists (USA) and the Society for Directors and Choreographers (SDC) are implemented throughout the rehearsal and performance periods. The Covid-19 Safety Officer will receive training and work with the Associate Producer, Associate Director of Production and HR Department to enhance and implement COVID-19 safety protocols within the organization. The Covid-19 Safety Officer will serve as primary point persons to address COVID-19 safety questions and concerns with relevant production personnel including cast, crew, musicians and production team members. Key Responsibilities: * Communicate, oversee, monitor and enforce procedures for COVID-19 safety practices, symptom monitoring, protocols following a positive test, cleaning and sanitization, guest artist requests, and case reporting throughout rehearsal and performance periods. * Conduct COVID-19 safety orientations and training with relevant production personnel. * Serve as primary contact to receive and respond to COVID-19 safety and compliance concerns. * If unable to resolve a compliance concern or if there are continuing or serious compliance concerns, work closely with the Covid-19 Resource Team to address as needed. * Conduct COVID-19 safety assessments and evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk. * Establish a plan to communicate regularly with the Covid-19 Resource Team and make recommendations for adjustments to COVID safety protocols as needed. * Provide reports to Production Management and HR/Risk Manager regarding concerns, violations, and compliance issues. Desired Skills and Experience Includes: * Adaptability to varying work environments and new responsibilities * Strong, proactive work ethic * Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information * Ability to work well in a team environment with many different personalities * Strong oral and written communication skills * Comfortable speaking to and instructing groups of colleagues * Proven organizational skills including logistics, time management and scheduling * Certification in Covid-19 Compliance Training preferred, but training sessions can be provided to a candidate as needed. This position will primarily work in collaboration with: Production Management, Stage Management, Human Resources and Artistic Departments. CPT is eliminating standard ticket prices, and every ticket purchased will be valued at the discretion of the patron. According to Raymond, "CPT believes theatre is essential.
