Playhouse Square is looking for an outgoing, people oriented person with strong interpersonal skills to take on our exciting position of Technical Project Manager. Responsibilities include: 1. Embrace Playhouse Square values and programs that further Diversity, Equity and Inclusion within the department. 2. As assigned by Director of Production, advance, and prepare cost estimates for productions as required. Communicate and coordinate all production aspects of presenting and producing, including city permitting and fire prevention. Be available from load-in through load-out or as assigned. 3. Prepare billings and settlements as needed. 4. Maintain a working knowledge of evolving stage technology including IT, production projection systems, Vectorworks, and emerging new technologies. 5. Assist Director of Production with ordering of stage supplies and theatrical equipment. 6. Working with Director of Production, develop and streamline systems, such as housemen work weeks and show estimates. 7. Insure advance information conforms with approved riders and contracts on all shows. 8. Create and maintain working Vectorwork drawings and light plots of all theatres. 9. Supervise maintenance and condition of stages, orchestra pits, dressing rooms, communication systems and technical support areas; report and suggest solutions. 10. Supervise crew calls and activitiesSupervise and or arrange delivery, pick-up and payment for rented equipment. Supervise repair and maintenance of in-house equipment. 11. Stay up to date with terms of all union contracts. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Minimum of three years of experience in production management or technical direction. 2. Ability to read light plots, ground plans and to implement tech riders. 3. Bachelor's degree, preferred. 4. Proficient in Vectorworks and a working knowledge of theatrical lighting systems. 5. Outgoing, people oriented person, with outstanding interpersonal skills. 6. Self-motivated with strong organizational skills. 7. Excellent verbal and written communication/analytical skills. 8. Ability to lift 50 lbs. As she cooks, each dish evokes a childhood memory in which she grows progressively older and more distant from her Taiwanese culture and mother. When Shirley’s assimilation efforts culminate in her election to the Homecoming Court, a mistake by Shirley’s mother humiliates her, eliciting cruel words Shirley can never take back. The Chorale rehearses on Saturday mornings, 9:45 – 11:45 a.m., and the Chamber Orchestra rehearses on Sunday evenings, 7:15 – 9:30 p.m. under the direction of Rick Fortney. TrueNorth Cultural Arts is located in Avon Lake, 33463 Lake Road. Safety measures and CDC guidelines are respected throughout this pandemic. *The TrueNorth Chorale and Chamber Orchestra* will be in concert at Bay Presbyterian Church on Saturday evening, October 30th, 7:00 p.m. The Concert is free, with a love offering being taken. The Chorale will be singing *Beatitudes* by Patrick Hawes. The eight Beatitude verses of St. Matthew’s Gospel are some of Christ’s most comforting words. The recurrence of the word ‘blessed’ makes for a unified collection of pieces – closely linked but each with its own character … peaceful intimacy. The Chorale will also be singing *Psalm 57* by Jean Berger with brass accompaniment. The Chamber Orchestra, Adam Murray Concert Master, will be performing the famous *Intermezzo* from *Cavalleria Rusticana*, composed by Pietro Mascagni. *Cavalleria Rusticana* takes place on Easter Sunday in a Sicilian village. The *Intermezzo *is one of the most beautiful moments in all of opera! The Chamber Orchestra will also be performing Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s *Russian Easter Overture**. *In Russia, Easter is known as the “Bright Holiday.” You can almost sense nature’s springtime renewal in the fresh, joyful vitality of this music. The score is prefaced by two quotations from the Old and New Testaments and a third, written by the composer; these correspond to each of the overture's three parts. The first part is prefaced by two verses from Psalm 68:1–2; the second from the Gospel of Mark 16:1–6; and a third by a description of the Easter celebration written by the composer. *The Chorale and Chamber Orchestra will be performing Gabriel's Oboe*, written for Roland Joffé's 1986 film "The Mission" and composed by Ennio Morricone.
