We're inviting YOU to audition for CADA’s Comedy Troupe, an innovative and groundbreaking project funded in part by the Ohio Arts Council, on September 21 and 23 from 6-8PM! The virtual audition will consist of an interview with Director Ruben Ryan and Assistant Director John Lynch, followed by an improv session with three applicants at a time. Physical address The Next Stage Comedy Troupe will provide an opportunity for a group of ten to fifteen actors with autism and/or disabilities to form an online comedy troupe as a pilot program for our 2021-2022 season. Members will also learn the practical aspects of forming a comedy troupe, taking turns in the roles of stage manager, technical director, while also learning basic marketing and advertising techniques. The troupe will manage a YouTube presence and master the essential aspects of developing online revenue streams. The troupe's first performance will be a comedy showcase in early December 2021. FEATURING Hannah Storch August Scarpelli SYNOPSIS Charlene Thompson and Justin Huth have ventured into winter’s high country. Now they find themselves suddenly stranded. Failed cellphone signals prevent rescue. The unrelenting snow provides water, but food is something only to be desperately wished for — unless, of course, Justin can convince Charlene that her beloved dog Charlie is the answer to all their culinary problems. ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT Laboring as a lone wolf or sometimes as a collaborator, Ed Walsh has had a number of efforts make it to the stage. In Northeast Ohio, his work has been produced at Dobama Theatre, Cuyahoga Community College-Western Campus Theatre, Berea Summer Theatre, Kent State University, John Carroll University, and Chagrin Valley Little Theatre-River Street Playhouse. Ensemble Theatre is another of Walsh’s venues. Two of his plays were performed there as part of The Colombi New Plays Festival. One of these, One-on-One, was later published. Walsh’s adaptation of Frankenstein was also published, as was his adaptation of The Red Badge of Courage. And it would be an oversight not to mention that Stranded, one of his personal favorite works, is included among the radio plays offered by Playwrights Local. Walsh resides in Bainbridge Township, where he spends much of the day playing with his dog Olivia, and the remainder of the day working on his next play. Dolan & Stephanie Wilbert Lorain County Community College and Spark Theatre Company announce non-equity auditions for our upcoming collaborative production of *James and the Giant Peach.* We are seeking 6-18 performers and various production positions for this production. Masked and in-personal rehearsals will begin Sunday, October 3, 2021. Rehearsals will be Monday-Thursday from 6:30 - 9:30 pm, with some Sunday afternoon rehearsals from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. All rehearsals will be masked with temperature checks. *Performances* Performances will take place on Thursday, November 18 and Friday, November 19 at 7:00 pm, and Saturday, November 20 at 2:00 pm in the Cirigliano Studio Theatre on the campus of Lorain County Community College. There is also the possibility of a student matinee on Wednesday, November 17 at 9:30 am in the Hoke Theatre, also on the LCCC campus. Do you wanna build a Choir?

St. Barnabas in Bay Village is looking for a collaborative Choir Director. We have short-term and long-term goals. In the immediate sense, we are celebrating our Anniversary of the Church's return to the Diocese on November 21st. We'd like to have a choir in attendance for that - bodies in robes, sitting together, with just the intention of supporting the hymns in the service. We've recently gained some musically-inclined members, so SATB parts would be attainable. Long-term goals would be to be able to have regular choir anthems, starting with major days like Christmas, etc., and then as a regular rotation, and/or do some service pieces like singing the Psalms, etc. Rehearsals would be determined based on everyone's availability (at the Director's discretion), and the CD would need to be able to accompany for the rehearsals - our organist will be playing for the service(s). Potentially either before or after the service on Sunday, or a weekday evening. Whatever is most convenient for the majority to prepare for the following weeks' music. The Liturgical Coordinator would be plotting all the hymns and service pieces - and would work together to select choir anthems that are suitable for the group and appropriate for the particular service. So basically, the only responsibility would be to teach the parts to the choir, and conduct on those days when there is an anthem. Auditions for Lead Actor - MISSING

I am looking for an actor to play the male lead role in an upcoming short film, MISSING. I will be holding auditions this Monday, 9/20 from 4-6pm (an alternate time could possibly be arranged) at 1375 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH 44115. The auditions are for Jerry, seemingly a perfect boyfriend for Zabrina, but as secrets from their past start to come to light, the relationship begins to crack, bringing Jerry’s demons to light. We will be shooting October 1-3 and 8-10, and are looking for an actor will availability during this period. Jerry is one of the leading roles, and as such, is in most scenes. It will only be possible to schedule around one day of unavailability during the shoot. We are hoping to have a quick turnaround from auditions to casting.
