Mad* Factory is pleased to Announce Auditions for The Last Five Years in Lorain Ohio! February 4th from 12:30 pm to 8 pm at MAD* Factory (2655 Broadway, Lorain, OH 44052) You are not required to sign up for a specific audition time. It is possible you may have to wait. Expect to spend 5-10 minutes in the audition room performing your prepared song and answering some questions. Both roles are open to individuals of any gender identity. Virtual auditions will be accepted until 4:00 pm on February 4th. Please email ehutlock(a)gmail.com to be sent back tracks and for further instructions. If you are auditioning for Cathy, prepare Still Hurting (full song). If you are auditioning for Jamie, prepare Shiksa Goddess (full song). Prepare both full songs if you are auditioning for both roles. Adjust either song for your voice however you see fit, including singing it up or down the octave or adjusting certain notes out of your range. Songs will be performed in the original key and not transposed. This production will be triple cast with each pair performing twice. (1994): "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown" (featuring beloved late community-theater actor Tom Castro as Charlie Brown and Ideastream's Peg Neeson as Lucy). Photos, Program, and video on VHS. (1996) Agatha Christie's "Murder At The Vicarage" (featuring Lakewood's Dr. Clifford "Kip" Thompson as Inspector Slack). Photos, Program, and video on VHS. One member of the cast went on to Hollywood. Just saw him playing a dirty cop in Season 6 of "Lucifer". The Language Archive needs your voice

I am the Sound Designer for The Language Archive opening soon at Clague Playhouse. The show is directed by Craig Joseph and opens on January 26th. It's a beautiful story of Love, Loss, Hope and Joy. It looks at what those feelings might sound like when people have their unique languages, either as a couple, community, or world. Those languages and words that are alive and those that are extinct. There are a couple of moments in the script when the audience hears these voices because The Archive collects them. I would love to be able to have many different voices. Voices with accents, English and non-English, 2nd and 3rd languages, old, young, ALL of the voices! If you could record on your computer or phone and send me an audio file of you speaking some of the words or phrases below- I would be so very grateful. I would like to also include your name in our program as a special thanks. Ideally, I would like the recordings submitted by Friday the 19th. - Some of the phrases include: - Mi estas amata - Mi estas amita - Mi estas amota - Mi estis amata - Mi estis amita - Mi estis amota - MIr Ne Glessala, the pronunciation should be Mere Nay GLESS a la - with the accent on the first syllable of the last word - Something you might say if you went to a library or lab in response to someone saying "Welcome to the Language Archive, How was your flight? - And either the words "I love you", or the equivalent of "I love you" in as many other languages as you know how to speak it. If you have the time and would like to give me something for each- that would be awesome. If you want to just do a couple, that too is awesome! My proposal is a staged reading of* L'Augmentation *by Georges Perec (I am doing a translation into English). There are 6 characters. No intermission. Duration - about 60 minutes.
