Oberlin College Theater invites you to attend the winter term mainstage production of *Ancestra *by Holly Holsinger and Chris Szajbert, directed by Anjanette Hall, with scenic design by Laura Carlson-Tarantowski, lighting design by Jeremy K. Benjamin, and costume design by Chris Flaharty! *SYNOPSIS*: Inspired by the 1853 National Women’s Rights Convention, *Ancestra *weaves a historical account of the pioneers for women’s rights with the intimate biography of a contemporary journalism student who writes about reproductive healthcare. When Cora’s methods take an unconventional turn, she is plunged into a crisis through which past and present begin to converge, illuminating a long history of silencing women through intimidation and violence. A sister production of Ancestra will perform at Cleveland State University in February/March 2024. Calling all adult dancers, from professionals to beginners, you're invited to join us for Cleveland Dance Project Season 13 auditions on Sunday Jan 14. Our audition process will allow dancers to meet the choreographers and audition for dances of their choice in a friendly group environment that will allow dancers to learn choreography and display their own dance style. ALSO - check out our pre-audition workshop on Sun Jan 7, 2:30-4:30pm for a mock audition and individualized feedback. Our Showcase is Saturday April 20 - all dancers must be available for 2 shows - 3pm & 7pm, as well as for dress rehearsal Friday evening April 19, and a tech rehearsal Thurs. or Fri evening. Production Assistant needed for MIDDLETOWN

PRODUCTION ASSISTANT NEEDED FOR MIDDLETOWN The Case Western Reserve/Cleveland Play House MFA Acting Program is looking to hire a Production Assistant for its upcoming production of Middletown, by Will Eno and directed by Don Carrier. This position will be responsible for assisting the Stage Manager during production meetings, rehearsals, and performances of the show. Rehearsals will typically be in the evenings Mondays through Saturdays, though this schedule may adjust with notice. This position will begin on Tuesday, January 16, to assist the Stage Manager with preparation prior to first rehearsal. Rehearsals begin Monday, January 22. Technical rehearsals are February 16 through 20, with opening night on Wednesday, February 21. Performances run Wednesdays through Saturdays through March 2, with two performances on Saturdays. Ideal candidates should have some experience in stage management, either in academic or community theatre settings. Candidates should have strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills, being able to work both collaboratively and independently. Candidates will need access to reliable transportation. This position will be paid $650.00/week, with a one-time tech week bump-up. This salary is subject to any and all local, state, and federal taxes.
