Audition Notice: _Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley_ by Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon Directed by Curt Arnold Auditions: Tuesday, August 13 and Wednesday, August 14 from 7-9PM Show Dates: Nov. 8 - Dec. 8, 2024 (no performance on Thanksgiving, Nov. 28) on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8PM and Sunday at 2PM Story: A sequel to Jane Austen's _Pride and Prejudice_ set two years after the novel ends, _Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley_ continues the story, only this time with bookish middle-sister Mary as its unlikely heroine. Mary is growing tired of her role as dutiful middle sister in the face of her siblings' romantic escapades. When the family gathers for Christmas at Pemberley, an unexpected guest sparks Mary's hopes for independence, an intellectual match, and possibly even love. At this point, they have not done so. Conrad has also re-enabled all the subscriptions each time. Beck Center for the Arts in Lakewood is seeking supporting cast for Neil Simon's *THE SUNSHINE BOYS* starring Austin Pendleton and Alan Safier, and Directed by William Roudebush. All available roles are for *Non-Equity* performers. Each role is paid a stipend. *THE SUNSHINE BOYS* opens on the Senney Main Stage on Sept. 13th for a 4 weekend run closing October 4th. Rehearsals will begin on Monday, August 12th. *Available Roles:* *Ben Silverman*---Willie Clark's Nephew and Agent. Age range 30 to 45 *Registered Nurse*---No nonsense. Age 40 to 65 *Vaudeville Nurse-*--Stereotypical late 60's/early 70's Bombshell type. Age 20 to 30 ideally. *Eddie*---A TV Studio Asst. Blue Macaroon Theater Company in Doylestown, OH is proud to announce AUDITIONS for MISERY by William Goldman, based on the novel by Stephen King, on Tuesday, July 30th & Wednesday, July 31st from 6 - 8:30pm. Auditions will be for the rolls of: ANNIE WILKES: A nurse who comes to Paul’s rescue (seemingly), Annie seems to be a kind, tender woman who cares deeply for Paul, even if she does seem slightly off. As Paul grows to know her it becomes clearer that Annie is manipulative, cunning, and hides a deep set and terrifying malice behind her cheery simple façade. PAUL SHELDON: A famed romance novelist tired of the series that has brought him the most acclaim. Returning from a retreat to finish his most recent work, he is involved in a terrible car crash that leaves him with broken legs and unable to care for himself. He’s thoughtful, if not a touch arrogant, and extremely crafty. He quickly realizes how dangerous his situation is and must use anything and everything at his disposal to survive. BUSTER: The Sherriff of a nearby town searching for Paul. Very friendly with possible hopes of something more with Annie NOTE: The roles of Paul & Annie will require some physical action.
