In *Just Go With It*, premiering at the BorderLight Theatre Festival this week, two friends make jokes about butts and lead the audience in a sing-along of Queen's 1978 classic, *Fat Bottomed Girls*. It's fun, it's free, and it's 15 minutes long. Come see it! *Just Go With It *features Amanda Rowe-Van Allen and Madison Roe, and was created by Jonathon Morgan, the Cleveland playwright and director who was one of the producers behind the first Micro Theater CLE event this spring. Local Theater Patrons- I am reaching out again to see if there are any more interested parties that would like to help increating a committee for a local award program and ceremony. Here is the original post: Hello, fellow theater lovers, My name is Neda Spears and I am reaching out to my fellow patrons to inquire of any and all individuals who would be interested in establishing an awards committee that would then lead to an awards ceremony akin to the Jeff Awards in Chicago or the Barrymore Awards in Philadelphia. The committee would be tasked with attending a certain amount of productions throughout the season and offer recommendations, then nominate performers and productions to be recognized at the ceremony. I am looking to meet with at least 10 people from different walks of life who can offer a unique perspective on watching theater as well as those who wish to offer financial support to the members and as well as the process of procuring a venue for the awards ceremony. Christmas in July - Ukrainian Winter Carol Workshops Part of the BorderLight Theatre Festival Thurs 7/25 at 6:30 p.m. Fri 7/26 at 7:45 p.m. Sat 7/27 at 6:00 p.m. FREE - but registration is required For more information and to register go to: https://www.borderlightcle.org/christmas-in-july/ Connect your body to your voice in this workshop and learn to sing some Ukrainian Christmas and winter carols. It’s so much more than “Carol of the Bells”! The Ukrainian winter caroling tradition asks that carolers sing at every home and to every member of the household. The songs are sung to help bring forth good health and a bountiful harvest. Led by Nadia Tarnawsky, these workshops are open to singers of all ages, genders, backgrounds, and levels of experience. All songs will be taught in the oral tradition. Ability to read Ukrainian or musical notation is not required and some of the time in the workshop will be spent on the vocal technique used to create the folk singing style.
