*PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE* *April 14, 2025* Northeast Ohio Arts Leaders Join CreativeOhio’s Inaugural Advocacy Leadership Institute CLEVELAND, OH – CreativeOhio has announced the selection of five arts leaders from northeast Ohio—including Cleveland, Lakewood, and Akron—for the inaugural CreativeOhio Advocacy Leadership Institute (ALI). This innovative program, *launching in May 2025*, will equip participants with advocacy skills, legislative insights, and statewide connections to champion Ohio’s creative sector. These leaders are among a cohort of 25, representing 15 cities throughout the state. The selected northeast Ohio cohort members are: Celeste Cosentino, Executive Artistic Director. cleveland PUBLIC theatre Cleveland Act Now (CAN) Academy Announces FREE, In-Person Programming this Summer *SESSION ONE: June 9 – June 27, 2025, for JUNIORS (7 - 10-year-olds)* *SESSION TWO: July 7 – August 1, 2025, for SENIORS (11 - 14-year-olds)* Join us for *Better Together, *a 3-week (Juniors) or 4-week (Seniors) intensive summer arts program for young artists that is rewarding and fun. Under the guidance of CPT Teaching Artists, youth will come together to create and perform original stories that celebrate the beauty of our differences and the power of community. Through acting, production design, teamwork, and creativity, each participant will have the chance to share their unique voice and discover the magic of working together. Whether through storytelling, words, or movement, we’ll explore how our diverse experiences make us stronger and more connected. Come be part of a vibrant, supportive community where every story matters and everyone shines! Enrollment is determined on a first come, first served basis and requires the submission of an application to the program. *Families must submit an application by May 23rd.* Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis, and families will be notified of enrollment no later than May 30th. The Audio Gallery Series at Negative Space will spotlight classic and contemporary audio drama with actors and sound effects artists bringing some of the most beloved scripts to life. This summer, the company will focus on science fiction, with performances of The Time Machine, The Day The Earth Stood Still and War of the Worlds. We are thrilled to announce this year we are producing our second annual TALENT SHOW! *SCA TALENT SHOW 2025* Grades 2 - 8 Back this year SCA is offering students to audition for our talent show! Any talent is welcome: martial arts, theater scenes or monologues, dance performances, comedy acts, singing, etc. Come with your best material prepared! Students will need to sign up for an audition in a half hour time slot. Single or groups are allowed and students can be in more than one act-but need to register each group for auditions (you can register in the same half hour time slot with multiple acts-up to 5 acts in a time slot).
