Cleveland State School of Film and Media Arts Open Casting Day

Casting will be held this Saturday, September 14th, from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M. at the School of Film and Media Arts, 13375 Euclid Ave, 6th Floor, Room 660. The purpose of this event is to bring local and aspiring actors to the attention of our students who can use their skills for their forthcoming projects. If anyone is interested they must prepare the following: 1. A 1-2 minute prepared monologue 2. An updated resumé Participants will have their monologue filmed and uploaded to the Film School's online database, which our students frequently utilize. We are reaching out to you to help us spread the word of this event and get people interested in acting for aspiring filmmakers. This is meant for actors of all ages and abilities. Genesis Experience Theatre Job Posting Genesis’ mission and vision consist of helping people of all ages experience God’s truth and love through theatre. Working through the five senses and our WORD, WORK, WITNESS plan, Genesis seeks to inspire the Akron community while teaching adults and children to pursue God while learning theatre concepts. Genesis is planning on achieving our purpose by creating partnerships within the community to create theatre opportunities to those who specifically 1.) Do not know God or those who have a minimal relationship with God., 2.) Do not have financial access to theatre., 3.) Event: German Brass band concert in Brunswick on Sept. 17

University of Braunschweig Brass band concert will be at Brunswick High School (3581 Center Rd, Brunswick, OH 44212) on Tuesday, September 17th at 7pm. The school is located on Rt. 303 about a mile west of I-71. A $5 donation will be requested at the door, and proceeds will go to the German Cultural Gardens in Cleveland. We hope to see many of you at the concert! The Band, with its 65 student musicians, is touring 8 U.S. cities and presents a very entertaining program with modern arrangements of music from movies and musicals, rock and pop music, and much more. Duties also include the Set Up and Tear Down of audio equipment for our small live stage shows. You will need to make time for rehearsals (evenings 5-9 unpaid) leading up to show open. Melanie Ferguson, a hard-edged war correspondent, drags refugee and linguist Arthur Borovitz to Parkman because she knows the Tribunal is desperate for translators. When Dr. Hannelore Schneider tries to rob him one night, Arthur offers her a job helping him translate documents. Hannelore is a devout Nazi, but she is also an intellectual. Parkman, increasingly desperate to understand how such cultured people could commit such horrible acts, summons her for interrogation. The experience leaves him with a crushing responsibility, including a secret that propels him into a future that promises to be nearly unbearable.
