CPT'S KULAS FOUNDATION THEATRE COMPOSER INITIATIVE APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION IS Monday September 9, 2019 CPT is now accepting applications for The Kulas Foundation Theatre Composer fellowships. The Kulas Foundation Theatre Composer Initiative is a year-long fellowship program providing early-career composers with first-hand experience creating music and sound design for theatre. This initiative engages composers/designers in a collaborative process, under the guidance of the show producer and director, to compose and produce original music for full productions and works-in-development in CPT's Season and to learn about other parts of the creative and production process of theatre. Composers gain hands-on learning experiences through sound design opportunities. The program is intended to significantly grow CPT's capacity for developing original music and sound design, and to support the growth and emergence of local artists. Short film locations

Hey, I’m in search of 2 locations or one locations that can provide both a garage and a house. I say this incase you allow me in your garage but not your house. Majority of filming would take place in the garage with some exterior street scenes. The use of the house would be a office room/bedroom connecting to a hall that leads into the living room. Location preferred around Cleveland area. Filming dates will be as permitted by you (location owner) and around actors/crew schedules. I do have dates picked out and can discuss them with you. "Mamma Mia!" is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). You do not need prior theater experience to try out for a show. Production Dates - November 29-December 21, 2019 Fridays at 7:30 pm, Saturday and Sundays at 2:00 pm. Double performances on Sat. November 30 & December 7 at 2 pm & 7:30 pm Two daytime school performances on Thursdays, December 5 & 12, 2019. Attendance required. Requirements: - Reading from script sides - Come prepared with a 16-32 bars of a standard Musical Theatre song. - Bring sheet music in the proper key. - An accompanist will play for all auditioners. - Bring a detailed list of your conflicts beginning October 7, 2019. Cleveland Play House Sound & Projection Tech Job Posting

The Cleveland Play House (LORT B), the oldest continuously operating regional theatre in America, is accepting applications for a Sound and Projection Technician. The Sound and Projection technician is a full-time seasonal position that reports to the Sound and Projection Supervisor. Responsibilities include: · Assist with the installation and strike of sound plots and projection equipment. · Assist with the construction of any specialty items such as speaker stands or projection stands. · Program and operate computers and mixing consoles. · Check all sound equipment and video equipment prior to each performance making sure all gear is in proper working order, including charged batteries in all wireless equipment and proper focus and alignment of projectors. · Execute cues accurately during technical rehearsals and performances as called by Stage Manager. · Help maintain sound and video equipment and tools making sure they are in safe and proper working order. · Maintain accurate and up to date paper work for each production including sound plot and cue sheets. · Follow all health and safety guidelines established by the theatre. · Assist other CPH departments with in-house sound and video needs as necessary. Ideal Qualifications: · Knowledge of theatrical sound and video systems and equipment including mixing consoles, speakers, microphones, amplifiers, EQ and processing gear, media servers. · Experience with recording, editing and playback of sound effects, music and video. · Experience with mixing live sound. · Working knowledge of theatrical sound and video software including QLab and WatchOut. · Able to work as a member of a team but also able to take on individual projects through to completion. · Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and able to work from ladders, personnel lifts and other heights.
