Mighty Goliath Productions will celebrate its 60th anniversary with Ian Fleming's musical spectacle, CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG. Directed by Douglas F. Bailey II with Choreography by Nicci Cassara Billington; this year's production promises to be a wonderful time for people are all ages! Take a fantastic musical adventure with an out-of-this-world car that flies through the air and sails the seas. Based on the beloved 1968 film version of Ian Fleming's children's book, and featuring an unforgettable score by the Sherman Brothers (Mary Poppins), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is one family-friendly blockbuster that audiences will find "Truly Scrumptious." WHAT: Auditions for CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG WHERE: Learwood Middle School Choir Room 340 Lear Road Avon Lake, OH 44012 WHEN: September 10th and 12th from 7-10 PM. No Appointments necessary. Auditions will be seen on a first come first seen basis. Please allow time to find the venue and complete paperwork. CITY BALLET OF CLEVELANDNUTCRACKER AUDITIONThe City Ballet of Cleveland is holding its annual “Uniquely Cleveland Nutcracker” audition on Sunday September 16th from 1:00pm-3:30pm.� The audition is open to all area ballet dancers ages 8 and older, and these young dancers will be dancing side by side with professional ballet dancers including from the Verb Ballets!� Dancers auditioning for pointe roles, including Act I Snow and Act II Waltz of the Flowers, should wear their pointe shoes to audition. Potential dancers do not need to be students at Cleveland City Dance; however, students must be enrolled in class at their current studio or Cleveland City Dance during the during the rehearsal process. Modern Jazz / Pop Band Looking For Jazz Flutist / Sax player

Modern jazz/pop group in Mentor is looking for a skilled jazz flutist for solo and back up work. We cover songs ranging from Ella Fitzgerald to Steely Dan to Sade, as well as instrumental standards like Stolen Moments and Birdland. Our primary need is for a flutist as around 50% of the songs we are covering have flute in them. Another 25% of the songs could use sax, thus the request for dual instrumentation. This is a professional band, so work ethic and ability are a key factor in justifying adding another player. Full band practices are on Saturday 6pm to 9pm, with melodic players also meeting on Thursday evenings 6pm to 9pm to go over songs that will be practiced on the weekend. Avenue Arts Marketplace & Theatre announces auditions for BENT Located at 324 Cleveland Ave. NW Canton, Ohio 44702 SYNOPSIS: In 1934 Berlin on the eve of the Nazi incursion, Max, a grifter and his lover Rudy are recovering from a night of debauchery with a SA trooper. Two soldiers burst into the apartment and slit their guest's throat, beginning a nightmare odyssey through Nazi Germany. Ranked lower on the human scale than Jews, the men as awoved homosexuals, flee. Desperate and on the run, Max asks his own "discreetly" homosexual Uncle Freddie for help as the older man offers little more than suggestions on how to live, as he does, practicing homosexuality on the side. Attempting their escape, Rudy is beaten to death as Horst, another homosexual prisoner, warns Max to deny his lover. Taken to a death camp at Dachau, Max and Horst branded with the "pink triangle", hope to survive with each other for comfort and courage but it is not to be. "Bent" is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, INC. Horst (Male, 20s) - relatively muscular physique and a kind nature; a "pink triange", incarcerated in the death camps of Dacheu because of his homosexuality; a sensitive man, strongly affected by Max's torment. Rudy (Male, 30s) - bespectacled, homosexual dancer; rather gushy, effusive, homebody type who has a great love for Max and his precious household plants; tends to become a trifle hysterical at times. The story is a natural for a stage adaptation: the saga of George Bailey, the Everyman from the small town of Bedford Falls, whose dreams of escape and adventure have been quashed by family obligation and civic duty, whose guardian angel has to descent on Christmas Eve to save him from despair and to remind him—by showing him what the world would have been like had he never been born—that his has been, after all, a wonderful life. This faithful adaptation has all your favorite characters: George and Mary Hatch, Clarence, Uncle Billy, Violet, and, of course, the Scrooge-like villain, Mr. Potter. Beck Center in Lakewood, OH is pleased to announce auditions for… *“Shrek The Musical”* Open Call Auditions by Appointment Only will be held on *Sunday, September 23rd* and *Monday,* *September 24th* at Beck Center. You may procure your appointment by calling Beck Center at 216-521-2540 x10 *“Shrek”* is Beck’s Holiday offering this year, and runs from Dec. 7th thru Jan, 6th on the Main Stage. Rehearsal process will likely begin in late October. All roles are available except the title role. They include Princess Fiona, Donkey, Lord Farquaad as well as Dragon and MANY amazing character roles. Role doubling is integral to the process, so all actors will have a good deal of stage opportunity. Specific roles can be found below, although doubling will be tbd. There are Two AEA (SPT Tier Four) contracts, one of which will be used for Shrek. The other contract will undoubtedly fall to one of the above-mentioned characters. All non-AEA performers are also compensated for their participation provided they are at least 18 years old. *EMC points WILL be available for this production.* Actors can anticipate 10 weeks *EMC* for participation in *“Shrek”* which is nearly half of what is required for AEA membership. *PREPARATION*: Please prepare one musical theatre selection not to exceed 90 seconds.
