I am looking for two male actors for the lightly-reheared reading of my play, ELBOW ROOM at the Playwrights Local New Play Festival on Saturday Sept. 23rd. They should be capable of upper class British and lower class Cockney accents. (think Henry Higgins from My Fair Lady and Bert the Chimney Sweep from Mary Poppins.) It wouldn't hurt if they resembled Peter Cushing and Peter Boyle respectively. The play is a Halloween, one-act comedy (Waiting For Godot with Victorian Serial Killers) They could probably take part in other readings as a number will be done the same night. Happy July 4th, fellow NeoPals! I just wanted to inform you that the video of my short one-act stage play, "About Michael", has just been released (at present, exclusively on Facebook through Sky Blue Theatre Co.). You can view it on my Facebook page @ www.facebook.com/peteranthonyfields/ The video was made on April 7, 2017, when About Michael made its European debut at the Off-West End theatre, LOST Theatre, in London, U.K. as a selection of the "British Theatre Challenge 2017: Act 2", produced by Sky Blue Theatre Company. About Michael was awarded the Second Place Audience Appreciation Award. The London production was directed by John Mitton and featured actors David Eaton (Marcus Stressel), Anthonia Bourdillon (Kathy Pope), Yvette Bruin (Susan Jackson), Simon Fox (Dr. Doug Wright) and Jasper Jamin Norris (Michael Janson). An early version of About Michael premiered as a part of the Student Theatre Festival at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, USA on April 8 - 10, 2016 in the E.Z. Black Box Theatre. The production was coordinated & advised by Dr. Daniel Nadon, Paul Floriano, Heather Sinclair and Eric van Baars. The play was directed by Theatre Studies major Courtney Kennell and featured student actors David Wise (Marcus), Heidi Holmwood (Susan), Kevin Sigler (Michael), Meredith Aistrope (Kathy), and Yannik Carstensen (Dr. Wright). CALL FOR AUDITIONS: “The Coroner’s Assistant” Writer/Director: AngelineWalsh Shoot scheduled for September Unpaid PLOT: The misadventuresof enthusiastic and slightly naive medical student James Rigby in his positionas an apprentice to Oliver Cross, an unconventional coroner in South London. This dark comedy series stars Cedric Gegel in the titlerole, reprising his character from the film “A Murder Party” (2016). LEAD ROLES JAMES RIGBY (CedricGegel), a young medical student whoresponds to an advertisement posted by a coroner seeking an apprentice. He is enthusiastic and slightly naïve. OLIVER CROSS (Male, 30’s—50’s), a coroner in South London and self-described“scavenger” who also runs a lucrative cadaver business which he hides from thepolice. He is cunning, gruff, and disdainful of authority figures. THOMAS (Male, mid-20’s—early 30’s), a resurrection man who works for Oliver Cross,providing him with bodies to dissect to sell body parts and organs to medicalstudents and universities. He is quiet,morose, and brooding. MARY CROSS (Female, 20’s), Oliver’s niece, a smart-mouthed young woman who isalso familiar with the streets. Shelongs to work with her uncle, to his annoyance.
