First Congregational Church of Akron is seeking a Music Director and/or Organist who is eager to join with the Senior Minister, staff, and laity to take this 182-year-old congregation to the next level of ministry and worship. As Music Director and Organist, you will join a team that believes in working collaboratively and creatively. You will have the opportunity to build upon a strong foundation and rich tradition of music programming, and benefit from long established partnerships between the church, the University of Akron, and area artists. You will work alongside the Senior Minister to accompany worship services and oversee all aspects of music programming supporting the church in its goal of ministering to a diverse membership and area neighbors. We are seeking a passionate Music Director with an entrepreneurial spirit who is willing to take chances in the quest to keep Akron’s oldest church at the forefront of ministry, looking toward our future as we treasure our past. Tarot Cabaret explores how fate lands a soldier returning from war in a mysterious nightclub inhabited by characters from the tarot. The Lovers, Death, the Devil, and other iconic characters guide the Fool through a musical purgatory that rides the knife edge of fate and free will. Tarot Cabaret is written by Leroy Guignol with music by Bryan Thomas (Kent State University, Hey Mavis) and directed by Jeff St.Clair (WKSU). Touching audiences worldwide with its humor, warmth and honesty, this universal show is a staple of the musical theatre canon. Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor dairyman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-semitism of Czarist Russia. The Pandemonium production team is seeking proposals from extraordinary theatre, music, performance poetry, dance, visual and multimedia artists. The Broadview Heights Spotlights Theater is seeking male and female actors who are able to develop many different characters of all age ranges for its upcoming adult comedy, *Talk Radio* by Eric Bogosian. Auditions will be *Sunday, July 10, from 3:00 – 5:00PM* and *Monday, July 11, from 7:00 PM to 9:00PM*, and will be held at the Cultural Arts Building, Home of the Spotlights Theater, 9543 Broadview Road (Broadview Center property, next to the Police Department). Those auditioning should plan to attend the entire two hours of either day and bring a list of conflicts between July 31 and October 1. Potential cast must be available for weekend performances between September 16 – October 1, 2016. The show will be directed by *Rose Leininger*. Auditions will consist of readings from the script.
