Local Theater Patrons- I am reaching out again to see if there are any more interested parties that would like to help increating a committee for a local award program and ceremony. Here is the original post: Hello, fellow theater lovers, My name is Neda Spears and I am reaching out to my fellow patrons to inquire of any and all individuals who would be interested in establishing an awards committee that would then lead to an awards ceremony akin to the Jeff Awards in Chicago or the Barrymore Awards in Philadelphia. The committee would be tasked with attending a certain amount of productions throughout the season and offer recommendations, then nominate performers and productions to be recognized at the ceremony. I am looking to meet with at least 10 people from different walks of life who can offer a unique perspective on watching theater as well as those who wish to offer financial support to the members and as well as the process of procuring a venue for the awards ceremony. This is not meant to exclude anyone, but to offer the Cleveland area a better appreciation of all the great theater we have in the region and even perhaps introduce new patrons to the arts. Christmas in July - Ukrainian Winter Carol Workshops Part of the BorderLight Theatre Festival Thurs 7/25 at 6:30 p.m. Fri 7/26 at 7:45 p.m. Sat 7/27 at 6:00 p.m. FREE - but registration is required For more information and to register go to: https://www.borderlightcle.org/christmas-in-july/ Connect your body to your voice in this workshop and learn to sing some Ukrainian Christmas and winter carols. It’s so much more than “Carol of the Bells”! The Ukrainian winter caroling tradition asks that carolers sing at every home and to every member of the household. The songs are sung to help bring forth good health and a bountiful harvest. Led by Nadia Tarnawsky, these workshops are open to singers of all ages, genders, backgrounds, and levels of experience. All songs will be taught in the oral tradition. Ability to read Ukrainian or musical notation is not required and some of the time in the workshop will be spent on the vocal technique used to create the folk singing style.

After 3 weeks of hard work and dedication by both the students and the staff, the RED CARPET PREMIERE is a celebration of that hard work. It's a night to showcase the films made by the students and to honor the excellence of these future Spielbergs. The gala event showcases the ADVANCED SUMMER PROGRAM and the BEGINNERS CAMP as well as several films made by our 8 WEEK FILM SCHOOL. Join us Friday, August 23 at Sari Feldman Auditorium in Parma for the screening of our 2 summer films. *ONE OF THEM*: After an apparent alien invasion a group of kids trapped in a fallout shelter begin to turn on each other wondering who among them might be one of them.
