Radio on the Lake Theatre, Northeast Ohio's only professional theater company exclusively dedicated to the audio arts, will be performing at this year's BorderLight Fringe Festival. The Captain, The Crew and The Creature, written by Cleveland-based playwright Luke Brett, is an immersive audio experience where the audience is blindfolded and the actors and sound effects artists move around them. It's also a fun and thrilling sci-fi story, which means lots of cool outer space sound effects (including a Theremin!). Performances will be held July 25, 26 and 27. While she enjoys playing duets with Cara and gossiping about the other tenants in their upper West Side apartment building, Margaret Mary values her independence above the dubious comforts that the constant presence of the priggish Cara might provide. So Cara is shocked when Margaret Mary engages Robin Bird, a rather kooky young would-be actress, as her paid, live-in companion. Relations between the three are strewn with hilarious pitfalls from the start, with additional comic complications being provided by a malaprop-prone Rumanian building superintendent and an eager young lawyer-suitor whom Robin Bird brings home for dinner. 82 Unscripted: An Improv Production Scriptless in Seattle is a nationally-touring improvised musical sensation! They are bringing the excitement of live, unscripted comedy to 82nd Street Theatre! With a style reminiscent of the beloved show "Whose Line Is It Anyway," they offer a unique blend of hilarious sketches, improvised musicals, game shows, film noir, and so much more. No two shows are ever the same, ensuring an evening filled with surprises, laughter, and memorable moments. The team from Scriptless in Seattle is going to rehearse and coach our cast here at 82nd Street Theatre and then join with them for a hilarious unscripted production on September 21, 2024!
