Talespinner is currently accepting resumes and portfolios for our 24-25 season for stage managers, technical directors, carpenters, scenic, props, lighting, accessibility, and costume designers. LESS THAN A WEEK left to submit your audition videos for SHINING STAR CLE 2024 Attention high school solo singers who dream of singing before a live audience - we want your auditions NOW! Shining Star CLE<https://www.mandeljcc.org/shining-star-cle/mandeljcc/> is a unique solo-singing competition which gives 10 students and 2 alternates a chance to perform center stage at Playhouse Square in a competition for a total of $18,500 in college scholarships. Celebrity judges choose the top 4 singers. Then the audience along with the judges select the winner. Enter Evilina of the Muggleworth Advertising Agency. Evilina attempts to force Jack into signing over his frost formula. When her original plot fails, Evilina steals the formula. However, only Jack knows about the necessary "secret ingredient." *What Could Go Wrong the Night Before Christmas? * Story: A host attempts to do a lovely reading of “The Night Before Christmas” but is stymied by every imaginable interruption. Between the children in the wrong costumes, card playing mice and a thin Santa, our poor host is about to have a meltdown! In the end, our host finishes the poem, Santa hurries off to make the rest of his deliveries, and the audience is energized with the fun of the Christmas season. Through laughter, moments of triumph, resilience, courage and heartbreak, the lives of William, Evan and his peers will never be the same. Dear Collectors, Archivists, Documenters, Chroniclers, etc.: I’m looking to home 35 or so 3’ x 5” glossy photos and two programs from The Notre Dame College Masquers’ 1983 production of* Godspell*. I had donated this collection to the college’s Archive, but the Archivist returned them to me when the school’s closing was imminent and no information was available about the Archive's destiny. These memorabilia are rare and precious, and have intrinsic historical, cultural and sentimental value, as I learned when I made similar donations to the Olmsted and Bay Village historical societies, The Parma City School District Historical Museum, and the Cleveland Central Catholic Archive. Some company members are listed below, in case anyone has or had a familial or social connection and would like something to remember them by. A brief accounting of what some NDC students got up to after graduation is also available upon request.
