A diabolical solution presents itself in the form of one of his graduate students whose script promises to deliver. *DEATHTRAP* provides an abundance of twists and turns and offers hilariously sudden shocks for audiences who will be spellbound until the very last moment. This not-to-be-missed play is the granddaddy of well-written thrillers. CHARACTERS: Sidney Bruhl: 50ish, polished, dashing, devious, clever ... thinks he's the smartest man in the room and wants people to know it; is "on stage" even when at home. Clifford Anderson: 18-30s, a student; very attractive, boyish and handsome at the same time; physically fit. He is clever; know's HE's the smartest man in the room and can bide his tine to display it. Covers this with innocence, affection and naïveté. Myra Bruhl: 40-60, sophisticated, upper-class, but embraces the country life; innocent, sweet, caring, emotional, nervous, even skittish, supportive of Sydney's career and moods, but grows some backbone when he crosses the line.
