YOUNGSTOWN, OH – The Millennial Theatre Company (MTC) and Hopewell Theatre are excited to bring an original love themed cabaret to the stage, just in time for Valentine's Day, one night only, Saturday, February 11th at 7:30pm at Hopewell Theatre (702 Mahoning Ave. Youngstown, OH). Lovesick; A Rom-Com Gone Wrong Cabaret is all about LOVE, featuring songs from some of your favorite musicals! Share in the stories of typical romantic comedy stereotypes; the workplace romance, the LGBTQ couple, the obsessives, the love at first sight couple, the long haulers, the unlucky in love, etc. Each couple in these stereotypes has a story to tell (these stories may not lead where you’d think) or they might go down the rabbit hole a bit farther than you’d expect! The cast includes Nate Beagle, Kristen Dubic, John Cruz, Kathie Steeb, Beni El-Dalati, Katie Jerome-Taylor, and Connor Bezeredi. The cabaret was conceived, created, and directed by John Cruz. Tickets are $15 and include a chocolate tasting and a glass of wine for those age 21+. This is the perfect Valentine’s Day date night event! The BorderLight Festival returns in 2023 with our first all-Fringe festival, so be sure to apply before February 28th. The festival will take place Aug. 3 - Aug. 5, drawing thousands to downtown Cleveland's Playhouse Square neighborhood. The festival will feature half local artists, half artists from all over the U.S. BorderLight will provide a venue, box office, marketing support, and fun, free events for artists. 70% of box office revenue is returned to artists, who can see other shows in the festival for free on standby. TEATRO PUBLICO DE CLEVELAND is hosting a FREE Theatre Writer's Workshop starting Wed 2/15 for Latinx-identifying community members. FREEWRITER'S WORKSHOP with Eric Schmiedl For people who identify as part of the Latinx community Explore the form and structure of dramatic writing and create a short play in Spanish or English for Teatro Público de Cleveland's Obras En Evolución 2023, a works-in-progress new play festival in March! WORKSHOP DATES Wednesday, February 15 at 6:00 pm Saturday, February 18 at 12:00 pm Wednesday, February 22 at 6:00 pm Saturday, February 25 at 12:00 pm WHAT: This 4-day writing workshop is designed to guide the writer to a completed draft of an original short play or excerpt from a longer play.
