Dearest friends in the N.E. Ohio Theater Community, As most of you know, after creating/founding Beachwood Community Theater 40 years ago it will no longer continue under my direction. I have 40 years worth of Costumes, Props and Gorgeous Scenery that will soon need to find new homes. Ideally, I’d like to donate much of the costumes and props. In regards to our sets, I’d love to find another local theater that has ample storage space and keep them all together. I’m not hanging up my top hat or folding my jazz hands just yet! I’d love to share our sets and use them when I can. I have complete sets for The Sound Of Music, Seussical, The Wizard of Oz, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Matilda, Shrek, Into The Woods, Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins and others. If you may know of another theater with a large storage facility please have them contact me or if you’re interested in renting or storing any of our pieces I’d love to hear from you. I haven’t committed to my ‘Second Act’ just yet but I’ll keep everyone posted when my first auditions roll around! Others will be intrigued by the author’s ability to lead down one path and throw a curve-ball into the action and then surprise with a startling ending. Seeking video auditions for a paid speaking role in a short film being produced in Ohio. This role is for a teenager so their parents/guardians must follow up (unless 18). The role is for: RED HEADED TEEN, Caucasian male, red hair, 16-18. This is the villain of the short film. Not an obviously racist youth, at first sight, but an undisciplined farm boy who doesn't know any better, and later in later life he will turn out to be a cruel grandfather. - The shoot is 1 day on location for half a day (6 hours) on location near Ashtabula, Ohio. - The pay is $250. Travel expenses provided if necessary. That's more important now more than ever after the hit everyone took during the shutdown.So help me help make that happen. With lyrics and music by the late Stephen Sondheim and a book by James Goldman, "Follies" imagines the reunion of ex-Follies performers amid a crumbling theatre, soon to be razed for a parking lot. * *Amid the reminiscing, two middle-aged couples confront some unpleasant truths about their past and present, coming face-to-face with not only their future but their past selves. The former stars of the Follies relieve memories and stumble through old numbers and somewhat magically experience their old hits from Broadway's past in the Sondheim songs. * *AUDITIONS by video only.
