Cleveland Horror Fest Returns--Opportunities for filmmakers, screenwriters, volunteers, judges, sponsors, and vendors

*Cleveland Horror Fest <http://clevelandhorror.com> *returns with new dates--this *December 2nd - 4th* at *Atlas Cinemas in Shaker Square*! This three day event will showcase independent horror films from around the world (feature films, shorts, and everything in between), playing on two screens throughout the event weekend. We are also accepting horror genre screenplays of all lengths for our screenplay competition–top screenplay submissions will be showcased as a directed table read during the festival. In addition, we’re lining up some great workshops and fun events, covering topics like screenwriting, special effects, distribution/sales agents, and movie trivia. Come out for the whole weekend, or pick and choose which events you’d like to attend–just be prepared for plenty of great horror, and a fun time for all! Films and screenplays will be judged by a panel of industry professionals for a variety of awards. Submissions for films and screenplays are currently open via FilmFreeway <https://filmfreeway.com/ClevelandHorrorFest>. You and your dreamcoat, ahead of your time!” One of the most enduring shows of all time, *Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat* is a reimagining of the Biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, eleven brothers and the coat of many colors. Told entirely through song with the help of a main character Narrator, the musical follows preferred son Joseph through all of his trouble until he is finally reunited with his family The magical musical is full of catchy songs in a variety of styles, from a parody of French ballads (“Those Canaan Days”), to country-western (“One More Angel in Heaven”) and calypso (“Benjamin Calypso''), along with the unforgettable classics “Any Dream Will Do” and “Close Every Door.” HBTI, a co-ed summer program, open to all Northeastern Ohio students is part of the Performing Arts Dept of Hathaway Brown School. *Joseph* is Directed and Choreographed by Bebe Weinberg Katz, with Musical Direction by John Krol, Set and Lighting Designed by John Rawlings, Costume and Props designed by Vanessa Cook and Sound Designed by Richard Ingraham. The FIVE dwarves don’t need help with cooking or cleaning, so they hand Snow White a plunger and put her to work. When the wicked Queen, disguised in Groucho glasses, tries to finish her off, a quick response from Prince Heimlich saves her, and the day! Featured in our cast are Chloe Alvis, Harper Brown, Penelope Chancellia Chin-Albert, Eden Garcia, Jake Hunter, Kendall Maggie Hunter, Kennedy Minear, Rebecca Newton, Cece Pisanelli. The play is directed by Richard Lynch. In the comedy, “High-Rise High Jinks” by Ken Preuss, you’ll discover that apartment living can be complex and full of surprises through these five short plays about folks living in the same high-rise building.
