The Spotlight Society presents *Spotlight on Summer:* *Godspell Jr. *and *Spring Awakening *auditions. Explore all aspects of the theatre with other young artists who love the stage as much as you do! The Spotlight on Summer Theatre Intensive is the arts camp experience that is more than a traditional summer camp. Designed in two sessions for students 9-19, the program is a comprehensive, one or two-week intensive in which students get the chance to hone their skills in a fast-paced, creative environment. Spotlight on Summer is designed to instill in aspiring thespians a deeper understanding about producing and participating in a first-class musical with working professionals. Tuition for each session of Spotlight on Summer is $200 and space is limited. All interested campers must audition and tuition includes a camp t-shirt. All paperwork and payment will be taken care of after the initial placement audition and details will be emailed to families upon registration completion. A nonrefundable deposit of $25 will be collected at the time of auditions. *Camp Details:* Session One: Artists Age 9-14. June 20-25, 2022. 9am-3pm. Featuring *Godspell Jr.* Directed and Choreographed by Aubrey Fink, Music Directed by Joshua Klaber Higgins Public Performances June 25th (2pm, 7pm) and 26th (2pm, tentative 6pm) Session Two: Artists age 15-19. July 5-15. 6pm-9:30pm. Featuring *Spring Awakening** Directed and Choreographed by Aubrey Fink, Music Directed by Joshua Klaber Higgins Public Performances July 16th (tentative 2pm, 7pm) and 17th (2pm, 6:30pm) *Please note that *Spring Awakening* is Rated R for mature subject matter including mental health, language, moments of physical intimacy, depictions of self-destructive behavior and physical abuse. Anyone under 18 will be given a parental consent form that must be signed and returned at or prior to auditions. *Placement Audition Information:* Please register for a time slot but following this link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/904084daaa629a6f94-spotlight. All artists should come prepared to move and with a device to playback a karaoke track (an accompanist will not be available). Additionally, please bring with you a headshot and resume (those auditioning for *Godspell* do not need to bring a resume). Please prepare 30-60 seconds of your favorite song to sing! *Spring Awakening*- Ages 15-19. Please prepare 60 seconds of a contemporary pop ballad in the style of the show. No musical theatre. Spotlight Society offers students the opportunity to both perform and develop their craft while receiving instruction from a team of industry professionals. Team members receive coaching in numerous acting techniques, music theory and vocal performance, and company-wide dance training. The Spotlight Society produces two fully-staged musicals a year, as well as competing at national performing arts competitions such as iTheatrics’ Junior Theatre Festival, The National Performing Arts Festival, and Musical Theatre Competitions of America. This year, the Spotlight Society brought home over 15 group and individual awards from these festivals including *First Place Musical Revue, First Place Production Number, and Best in Ensemble*.

Quasar Wut-Wut accompanies THE FIRST DEGREE USA, 1923, Edward Sedgwick Quasar Wut-Wut, "Chicago's #3 Band," will appear in person to perform its original score to a silent melodrama that was thought lost until a complete, partially-tinted print turned up in The Chicago Film Archives in 2020. This 99-year-old Universal production has since been digitally preserved by The CFA, and the four members of Quasar Wut-Wut (who brought it back to life during the movie's 21st-century premiere last September at Chicago's Gene Siskel Film Center) are now bringing it to Cleveland! The First Degree tells of a man who is summoned to testify before a Grand Jury in a sheep-stealing case in which he was the victim. His proximity to the law prompts him to come clean on a different crime that he himself committed: the murder of his cruel half-brother, who tormented him for years (seen in an extended back story). Qu Theatr is hosting a Community BBQu & Potluck on June 2nd, 2022 from 6:30-9:30pm at Chuckery trail in the Cascade Valley Metroparks in Akron, Ohio 44310. Qu Theatr is Ohio's first LGBTQ+ theatre company and we are excited to meet you! There will be a dedicated vegan grill and other grilling available at the cookout as well. We need to fill two roles for minimal rehearsals, when held, Mondays and Thursdays from 7-9 p.m.. Lottie decided to sign up her husband, Archie and herself for ballroom dance lessons. Not only do they learn how to move elegantly on their feet, but hopefully they become wiser together as they take classes with their quirky dance instructor. They dance through their new marriage, hopefully, with more rhythm than before.
