The Luminescent Moon Theatre is excited to announce auditions for their upcoming youth workshop. With Pioneer Drama Service we will be putting on Understanding your Pet with Dr. Marla Brett! Tons of fun and physical comedy energize this truly “wild” one-act farce. Revolutionary pet therapist Dr. Marla Brett has recently developed a new pill that she claims will help people better understand their pets. Her protégé, Dr. Lizzie Linkester, is overjoyed to handle the trial run of the new drug at her veterinarian clinic. Eager patients, including a US senator, a farmer, and an exterminator, flood the clinic in hopes of learning to communicate better with their pets. But medical breakthrough turns to chaos as the pet owners return, suffering from an unforeseen side effect — they’re now starting to act like their animals! Skillfully written so that each actor has his or her moment in the spotlight, you won’t be barking up the wrong tree when you produce this riotous show. It’s the cat’s meow! By Andrew Frodahl Auditions are Wednesday and Thursday, April 20th and 21st from 6-8 p.m. Auditioners will be asked to read from the script. This production is for 3rd grade and up through teenagers. This is a workshop. A small production fee of $39 is required, this helps cover costs as well as includes a t-shirt! All roles are available. Directed by Cory Ott. Performances are Friday-Sunday, May 20th-22nd. Friday and Saturday are 7 p.m. performances and Sunday is a 2:00 performance. DATE: April 4, 2022 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Rabbit Run Theater has an opening for a Costume Designer JOB OVERVIEW/DESCRIPTION: The position of costume designer is open for Rabbit Run Theaters 2022 production of Titanic, the Musical running June 24 through July 9. The costume designer reports to the shows director and executive director as an independent contractor position. Fee range is commensurate with experience, and is highly competitive based on comparable theatres in the region. The costume designer is responsible for designing, procuring, building and or renting costumes for Titanic, the Musical. Duties also include developing a costume plot, taking cast measurements and conducting costume fittings. Appropriate costumes are also required for a pre-show publicity shoot at the discretion of the shows director and marketing director. Costume designer must provide for the care, maintenance and cleaning of costumes through the run of the show. The costume designer is expected to be available during tech week for final alterations and/or costume adjustments. At the end of the run, the costumer must provide for the removal of the costumes during strike after the final performance on July 9. QUALIFICATIONS: Exceptional project management skills Strong communication skills Ability to collaborate and be a team player Proficient technical skills in the following areas: sewing and alterations Experience managing expenses and budgets EXPERIENCE: Preferably 2 years of experience working for a small scale theatre.
