*Job Description: Accompanist* Bethany Covenant Church in Lyndhurst, Ohio, is seeking a part-time piano accompanist with a heart for leading worship. Our small, but friendly and welcoming church would especially benefit from worship led by a follower of Jesus with a commitment to personal spiritual growth and formation. In the process inhibitions get left behind in a pile on the living room floor, as the authors find themselves living the hot and steamy clichés of their book. TEAR IT OFF features con-con company members Lucy Bredeson-Smith, Beau Reinker and Lauren B. Smith, and newcomer to the Liminis stage, Terence Cranendonk. Now accepting fiddle students. General technique and Old Time a specialty, but other styles as well. I teach out of my home on the west side of Cleveland. I've taught strings for over 25 years. Folk music is music of the people and truly is for everybody. Parents: consider having your child learn folk music. Not only is it music of our American roots, kids find it very engaging and fun. It stars the nuns you love plus Father Virgil and some of Mt. SaintHelen's most talented students. This show is filled with "Nunsense"humor, some of your favorite carols, a "Secret Santa," and anuproarious take on the Nutcracker Ballet. It's the perfect way toinsure your holiday season is merry and bright! Director/Choreographer Kim Mihalik & Music Director JayneBartish-Kacik are looking for the following performers: Reverend Mother - 40's and up - Mezzo-Soprano (bordering on Alto) The Mother Superior of the Little Sisters of Hoboken. She tries to be strictand keep order, but things often get out of her control. She grew up in acircus family and her "showbiz" background and sense of humor alwaysshines through her attempt at creating a tough exterior. Sister Mary Hubert - 30's and up - Mezzo-Soprano (Gospel stylevocals) Second in command to Mother Superior. She wanted to be a nun all her life andat times finds it difficult to deal with problems she believes are created byMother Superior's ineptness. Very practical. She and Mother Superior have ahealthy and humorous rivalry. Sister Robert Anne - 20's and up - Mezzo-Soprano (Belter) Streetwise nun from Brooklyn, NY. She is one tough cookie, but has a heart andsoul of gold. The students love her because she speaks their language. Shefeels she has real theatrical potential and is constantly frustrated byReverend Mother's refusal to let her star in the show. Sister Amnesia - 20's and up - Mezzo-Soprano (Country stylevocals) Was hit on the head with a crucifix and for a long period didn't remember whoshe was. Now, everyone knows she is Sister Mary Paul, a country singer whojump-started her recording career as the first un to appear at the Grand OleOpry. Even though she has her memory back, she always seems to be a"little vacant" but innocently endearing. Sister Mary Leo - 20's and up - Any Vocal Part or Non-Singing A former novice nun, her dream is to be the first nun ballerina. Note: SisterMary Leo only appears briefly at the beginning and end of the show and willdouble as stage crew. Father Virgil - 30's and up - Tenor/high-Baritone Grew up in the Mississippi Delta where he and his sister were part of the TrottFamily Singers. He now has his own radio show and the sisters invited him toparticipate in the Christmas program because they knew he could give thempointers on presenting a good show. Students - ages 8-18 Louise | Maria | Billy | John Students of Mount Saint Helen's Catholic School who are chosen by theirteachers to help out the Sisters with the Christmas Program. What: Standardized Patient (SP) Work for ages 18 and over When: Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons for the medical college, plus various dates for Special Projects Where: Lerner Research Institute & Cleveland Clinic Simulation and Advanced Skills Center on CCF main campus Pay: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour plus free parking *Returning SPs*: Please send email to CCSASCSP(a)gmail.com with latest headshot and availability information. *New applicants*: Please read through the following information carefully, paying particular attention to the instructions under the “if you are interested” section. After you reply, you will receive an email acknowledging that we have received your information. We will then review responses and send select invitations to interview with us at one of our Meet & Greet sessions which will be held during the last week of August and the first week of September. Thank you for your interest in the Standardized Patient (SP) program at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. SPs portray patients in cases which are used to train our student doctors in Communication Skills. SPs also present as themselves in Physical Diagnosis sessions. Special Project SPs work a more varied schedule with other caregivers here at CCF. We are located in the Lerner Research Institute on the main Cleveland Clinic campus near University Circle in a dynamic professional and educational environment. - We have sessions every week during the academic year (September to May), along with Special Projects which occur on various dates. - SP work is dependent upon which cases we use and whether any of the patient profiles in those cases match up with your profile. (That is why it is not necessary to be available *every* Tuesday or Wednesday as this is intermittent part-time work.) Special Project hours are varied. - We will invite you to participate in a specific session(s). You are welcome to say Yes or No. *Communication Skills Simulations* These sessions occur on various Tuesday and/or Wednesday afternoons. *You will not be needed all Tuesday or Wednesday afternoons; you will be invited to specific Tuesday and/or Wednesday afternoons. * Special Projects vary in needs and dates. In order to participate in Communication Skills simulations, you must memorize the character profile of a particular patient. You will be given all information that is necessary either before or at the training. You will not be required to wear a hospital gown or have a physical diagnosis examination. *Training for Communication Skills* We have a 2-hour training session that accompanies *each* of the Communication Skills cases. The timing of the training session varies, but it is most often on the Monday or Thursday of the week before the simulation event. You will be paid for this training. *Physical Diagnosis Simulations* These sessions occur on various Wednesday afternoons from 12:45 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. For this type of session, you must wear a hospital gown, but you are welcome to wear your own sports clothing (shorts, and for women, sports bra or tank top with skinny straps) underneath. There is no character profile to memorize and no training for this type of session. *Special Projects* cover various simulations, e.g., a concerned parent of a child who is a patient, a difficult patient, a patient who has just received bad news. It may be to portray a patient or family member in a sim that is live in the hospital, or that is needed in a video. There are many different types of Special Projects. *Pay* You will be paid $20.00 to $23.00 per hour as an independent contractor. You will not be an employee of the Cleveland Clinic. *Parking* Parking is provided in the garage located directly across the skyway from the College in Lerner on main campus, or for Special Projects, the garage closest to that location. Cleveland Play House, America’s first regional theatre and a Tony Award recipient, is currently looking for dressers with wig experience for their 2015 – 2016 season. In addition to normal wardrobe skills applicants must be able to apply and remove lace-front wigs and facial hair; have roller setting and styling skills; and have general wig maintenance experience. Qualified applicants must be able to follow instructions, be reliable, self-motivated, and detail oriented. Applicants will work with the Wig Master and Costume Shop Manager to outline duties and demands for each show.
