Step into the spotlight! Twinsburg Community Theatre (TCT) announces auditions for Disney’s *The Little Mermaid *with shows on January 20-22 and 27-29, 2017. Auditions will be held Saturday, October 29th at Twinsburg Community Center, 10260 Ravenna Road. TCT is seeking talented adults and students in at least 2nd grade for the upcoming performance. Adults from any community are eligible, but students must reside or have a parent who resides in the Twinsburg School District to audition. Please arrive prepared to sing a maximum 2 minutes of an acapella song of your choice. You may sing a song from the upcoming show if you wish but it is not required. Rehearsals are typically in the evening Mon-Thurs according to role. We do not rehearse over the Thanksgiving, nor Christmas holidays. All roles are available and are volunteer roles. Staff: Shonna Nitzel-Artistic Director, Chelsea Selvaggio-Musical Director, Jim Volkert-Producing Director TCT is a wholly self-supporting organization and cast members pay small fees to participate. Each cast member pays a $60 fee for the first immediate family member, $55 for the second, $50 for the third, $45 for the fourth, and all others are free. Audition Schedule: Grades 2-4 at 10 a.m. Grades 5-6 at 11 a.m. Grades 7-8 at 1 p.m. High School at 2 p.m. Adults at 3 p.m. *October 30th is reserved for call backs if needed. The Parma SymphonyOrchestra will perform a concert on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at3:00 PM at Valley Forge High School Auditorium located at 9999Independence Boulevard in Parma Heights. Music Director Dr. Randolph P. Laycock presents: Bizet’s CarmenSuite No. 2 and the powerful Carmina Burana by Carl Orfffeaturing the combined choirs of Parma, Normandy, Valley Forge, PaduaFranciscan High Schools and Cuyahoga Community College Choir and soloist MarianVogel, Jared Plasterer and Brian Keith Johnson. The orchestra, in its 47th season consists of 75 members ofall walks of life from all over the entire Greater Cleveland area. This simple phrase can’t help but activate sense memories in our inner-child – the giddy excitement felt while walking into the Big Top, the omnipresent sweet and sour smells of animal acts and cotton candy, and the tingle of innocent eroticism and danger generated by scantily clad entertainers performing in and above the three-rings of the “Greatest Show on Earth.” Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, which is celebrating 146 years of performing an art form first introduced to the U.S. in 1793, will be at Quicken Loans Arena from Oct. 20 – 23.
