Rubber City Shakespeare Company is casting non-equity actors for its spring production of Thomas Middleton's Women Beware Women, directed by Dane CT Leasure. All roles are available. Auditions are April 4-5 from 6pm-9pm, as well as April 9 from 2-5pm Auditions are held at the Summit Artspace 140 E. Market St. Akron, OH 44308. The production runs May 27 - June 12, Thursday- Saturday evenings and Sunday matinees. Rehearsals begin May 1 through May 26, from 6:30-10pm (Sunday-Thursday) with the exception of tech week which is 6-11pm. Double Tech will be on Sunday May 22 from 10am-8pm. Please sign up for an audition on our website ( www.rubbercityshakes.com/auditions) and prepare a short classical monologue and prepare to do cold reading from the script. This is a non-equity production but stipends will be paid to actors in the production. Bad spring pun, I know. Despite the snow on the first day of spring, I see the buds popping and the weather IS warmer. So maybe it's time for head shots? Or maybe you need to update your head shots? Here's how it works: You come to me, in Akron. We spend about 20 minutes making awesome pictures. You receive a digital file within one week from the shoot. Super easy! It's only $30 (cash only and exact change) for one look. You must come to Akron. If you want me to come to you or you want more than one look, that's fine! It'll cost you just a bit more, though. You'll receive 10, fully edited images in every format you could possibly need. You can share the digital images with your agent or post on social media or print wherever you like. This year’s Summer Dance Workshops are right around the corner! Whether a professional dancer or an aspiring artist, we have a program for *all *abilities and ages! *Adult Summer Dance Intensive Training * Dancing Wheels Company & School offers a two week Adult Summer Dance Intensive Training for dancers and dance enthusiasts 15 years and older. The first week of this intensive workshop includes instruction in composition, improvisation, repertory, and the Dancing Wheels technique based on traditional modern dance that is translated and adapted for dancers with and without disabilities. New this year, the second week curriculum will focus on training based on our teacher-training manual. We will take participants on a step-by-step guide of how to perform and teach our specific technique. Participants may register for the first week, the second week, or both.
