HBTI announces AUDITIONS for its summer productions of *Children of Eden* and *Side Show.* *Sean Grandillo *(TV: The Real O'Neal's, Scream, Law & Order: SVU; Broadway: Spring Awakening) had this to say about his time working with Fred Sternfeld and Bebe Weinberg Katz on *Children of Eden* while he was in high school... "*Children of Eden* was a turning point for me. As an artist, as a person… There's something about this piece and the family it creates that is very special. I came to the show a total novice in the theater, and I left with a confidence and a love for this art form that I never could have imagined. I was thrilled to hear Fred and Bebe are putting the show on again. They were the director and choreographer of the production that meant so much to me a little more than six years ago. My advice is, if you're on the fence, do it. This is the kind of show to do. The kind of show that KIDS are LUCKY to get to do. They know when to leave the highway and find a warm, safe place to weather the storm. They know, too, that during refuge from blinding whiteouts, strangers can become friends, but friends can also turn a bit strange. It’s that kind of emergency, where locals meld with travelers stranded during a winter gale in Kansas, that sets the stage for William Inge’s celebrated play *BUS STOP, *opening 8 p.m. Jan. 27 continuing Fridays and Saturdays through Feb. 18 at Aurora Community Theatre, 115 E. CPT now accepting proposals for Station Hope 2017

Dear Northeast Ohio artists, CPT is beginning to plan the fourth annual Station Hope event - a free multi-arts event that celebrates the triumphs of the Underground Railroad, Cleveland's social justice history and contemporary struggles for freedom and justice. The format of Station Hope includes multiple stages with 10-15 minute pieces performing simultaneously throughout the evening. This year, Station Hope will be a massive community celebration at and surrounding Ohio City's historic St. John's Church - Cleveland's only authenticated Underground Railroad site - on April 29th, 2017. CPT is looking for artists, performance groups, choirs and organizations to create original work and perform at this powerful event. Performances can range from site-specific plays, actors in character wandering through the event, or your church choir singing. We are also seeking visual artists who are interested in creating community generated art and installations.
