Audition for Student Film and Video Projects – FALL 2017! AUDITIONING FOR: Cuyahoga Community College's beginner level film and video students are creating several short projects (music videos, commercials, drama monologues, and super short narrative films), and need local talent. See some SAMPLES further down on this page. This is an "Intro to Filmmaking" class, taught by Prof. Bruno Tatalovic. Several students who completed this course in previous years – are now established local film artists, videographers, PAs on big union films, etc. WHEN: Friday, October 27, anytime between 9:15am and 1:15pm WHERE: Tri-C Campus in Parma, Ohio (11000 W Pleasant Valley Rd, park in "visitor"; walk to middle-building/galleria; look for room G107, next to campus police); If lost on campus - text us at 440-783-2405. WHO SHOULD COME: This type of collaboration is perfect for beginner (or intermediate) level actors who need more footage for their first demo-reel. Each of these projects feature 1-2 actors only, and gives you a lot of screen time and dialogue or monologue lines. These are unpaid (volunteer / collaborate) productions. Get your first credit, your acting demo, and establish new relationships with like-minded content creators. Also, if you have NO screen acting experience, but you truly BELIEVE that you have what it takes - COME and try out! These projects are 1 day (half a day) productions, sometimes in November (based on actors' availability). It's a “walk-in” audition (cold read or short personal monologue - if desired). If you wish to attend this audition, bring the following: -- 8x10 headshot or any decent picture of yourself; -- acting resume (even if it’s very minimal); -- if you don’t have a resume, make sure to have personal contact info (or business card); RECEIVE NEW HEADSHOT DISCOUNT: Beachwood based Discovery Photo studio (operated by photographer Scott T. *Neohiopal Announcement* ACTING ROLES NEEDED: (open to height, weight, race) 1) Role: Father - male age 27-35 2) Role: Mother - female age 27-35 3) Role: Son - boy age 8-11 Hi, my name is Vincent Leone. I am a junior film major at* Malone University *(Canton, OH) and I *NEED 3 ACTORS* for my ten minute short film! This will be an *unpaid* position because it is a student film, but actors will receive footage for their personal reel. After a year of thought, pitching and conversation, I have finally written my short film titled ??? (working title: "Anniversary") *It will be a great opportunity for acting exposure in the Northeastern Ohio region, to develop your reel and meet aspiring filmmakers. *This film focuses on the generational passing down of domestic violence and a son's connection with his father. The idea of this film was formed back in November 2016 with a thought of creating a film where the main character had a mental disorder that abused his/her family without consciously deciding to do it. Through various pitches, conversations and meetings with other writers, it transformed into something that I can really connect with as the writer/producer. Actors will be asked to be present for a weekend of shooting (Friday afternoon to Sunday late evening). in *Canton, Ohio* nearby my campus, Malone University. The gruff stage manager and prop boy check the show's props, which are shabby and third rate, but the troupe improvises by creating a magical world of make-believe. The acting troupe soon discovers that the actors playing Scrooge and Tiny Tim have abandoned the tour; but the show must go on, and the prop boy eagerly volunteers for the part of Tim while the cynical stage manager must be forcibly drafted to play the old miser. The troupe proceeds to make their way through the tale, creating fog, snow, fire and ghosts through mime, imagination and wonderful visual effects. The rag tag players (including the stage manager and prop boy) quickly become the characters of the story, and we are pulled into the life of Ebenezer Scrooge. The Christmas Spirits work their magic and warm the heart of Scrooge, as well as the old stage manager. This play is an inventive telling of the famous classic that is sure to warm everyone's hearts just in time for Christmas!
