Cleveland Musical Theatre is seeking one male (around college age) who is a strong base/baritone Musical Theater actor. This is for a featured role in our developmental lab of “Jane Eyre, the musical“ (currently being developed for productions in New York and Cleveland). Applicants must have evening availability from 10/7 through 10/15. Please note: this is not a paid position, however it is an opportunity to receive exposure to Tony-nominated composer Paul Gordon (“Daddy Long Legs,” “Jane Eyre”) and the opportunity to workshop a show from the ground up. Rubber City Theatre is seeking a Stage Manager and an Assistant Stage Manager for our upcoming production of A Christmas Carol. The show begins rehearsals on November 6 and run typically Sundays from 4-10pm, and Monday through Thursday 6:30-10pm. Tech Sunday is November 26 from 2-10pm followed by tech week which runs November 27- November 30. Opening night is December 1 and show runs through December 23. Shows are Thursday through Sunday with double shows on the 9, 16, and 23. There is no rehearsal on Thanksgiving. There is a stipend for both positions. These are non-equity positions. North Canton(on the Hoover High school campus) ROLES include: 4- males ages 13-18, 5- females ages 9-16, or can pass for these 2-3 male adults ages 20-60, 2 female adults ages 20-60 This show will be taken to and performed at school locations during school hours and performedfor students in a class or many classes at a time. This is a continuing role/responsibility, as we will work throughout the entire school year as shows are booked. We need people who can be available for shows with a two-week notice. Most schools recognize this program as an educational service to the school community, and students/ cast members can be excused for the absent time of the day that shows are performed. Individuals will need to check with their schools for details. Adults who are cast will be asked to assist the director with transportation of cast members from our Youth Theatre to the school location. Cast members are responsible for transportation to the Youth Theatre and to be picked up after performances. “Orphan Train” is a play that tells the story of 9 orphans on a train that left New York City on May 28th, 1914, and traveled to U.S. Midwestern towns in search for homes for the children. This play is an excellent supplement to classroom American History courses. * We are very proud that “Spotlight on Youth” is our oldest educational outreach program, being in existence since 1989! This interactive drama has proven to be a most effective teaching tool, eliciting emotional responses that are vivid and lasting!

Ticket sales and donations at the event will go toward supporting Singers Companye's mission of "Giving Voice to the Human Experience" both locally and abroad. In addition to featuring many of its own singers, Singers Companye is extending an invitation to its member's talented friends and family to audition for the performance. Auditions for the Staged Reading of "A Christmas Carol", adapted and directed by Preston Postle will be held on Monday, October 9th at 7 PM at the Bay Village Police Department's Community Room, 28000 Wolf Road. The director is looking to cast eight actors: 3 male, 3 female, one narrator (gender neutral), and one child (age: 10-13).
