He is truly "the juggler your mother warned you about." Nizer has been known to launch a handful of ping pong balls 20 feet in the air and then juggle them in his mouth. He makes music with computer gadgets that enable him to bounce a ball on his head and juggles the unlikely combination of a 16-pound bowling ball, electric carving knives and a buzzing chainsaw. Command performances have included five trips to the White House, the Great Hall of the People of China, and three performances at the Vatican. The Singing Angels is dedicated to youth development through the highest level of artistic achievement in the performing arts. Members hail from over 74 communities in 10 counties across northeast Ohio. Over 300 children, ages 6 to 18, participate in this educationally and culturally enriching program each year. But when practical young Alice Sycamore becomes engaged to her company’s Vice President Tony Kirby, the Vanderhof/ Sycamore clan must straighten up to meet the new in-laws. Amalgam Arts & Wellness, in partnership with Team Eastwing (a family organization for the fight against Alzheimer's) is holding an event to raise money for the Cleveland Alzheimer's Association on Sunday, August 6th from 10am to 10pm at Wildwood Park (16975 Wildwood Drive). Male Actors of Color Needed for Beck's "Cuckoo's Nest"

Beck Center in Lakewood seeks 3 male actors of color for our production of *"One Flew Over The* *Cuckoo's Nest*" Directed by NYC-based Director William Roudebush. All are stipended roles, though non union. These are all speaking roles. Age range for two of the roles is 20 to 35, and the third role is ideally 50 to 65. Performances are Sept. 15th thru Oct 8th, Fri/Sat Evenings and Sun afternoons only, with the exception of an added Thursday Evening performance on Oct. 5th. Rehearsals will begin between Aug. 12th and 15th. This will be a light to moderate rehearsal schedule for these roles. Verb Ballets brings diverse styles to The Heinz Poll Summer Dance Festival in celebration of the company's 30th anniversary season World Premiere of work by Philadelphia choreographer, Tommie-Waheed Evans AKRON, OH - Verb Ballets returns to The Heinz Poll Summer Dance Festival at Akron's Firestone Park on July 28 & 29, 2017. These free community performances will showcase Verb Ballets as the company celebrates the 30th anniversary season by featuring a diverse dynamic program including a world premiere. Verb Ballets is proud to present a season that highlights the artistry of contemporary choreographers paired with balletic works that have moved audiences for decades. Verb Ballets will premiere a new work by Philadelphia chorographer Tommie-Waheed Evans at the Heinz Poll Summer Dance Festival. In 2013 Evan's created Dark Matter on Verb Ballets that audiences and critics alike enjoyed. Evans danced with PHILADANCO! and Complexions Contemporary Ballet before starting his own company Waheed Works in 2006. The Dance Journal described his work as, “vocabulary is deeply rooted in a classical ballet aesthetic blended with modern sensibilities and jazz influences.” Evans strives to create work built upon the human experience to connect audiences through a fierce physical language while communicating statements about social justice. Returning to the stage is the Heinz Poll favorite, Eight By Benny Goodman. This fun loving piece combines ballet and ballroom to the exuberant big-band sounds of the master, Benny Goodman. Verb Ballets' dancers will debut the amazing technique of the Cuban Ballet style as the company performs Don Quixote Grand Pas de Deux staged by renowned Cuban ballerina, Laura Alonso. Guests are invited to bring blankets and/or a chair. Onstage children's activities lead by the Dance Institute start at 7:45pm. Verb Ballets performance begins at 8:45pm.
