CHOREOGRAPHER NEEDED Wizard of Oz/ Twinsburg

A Choreographer is needed for a full stage musical production of the RSC version of Wizard of Oz. The production dates are September 21-23 and 28-30. Choreography rehearsals would begin in August in Twinsburg Ohio. Choreographers must be extremely patient and kind, and have the ability to work with a very large mostly amateur cast of all ages. Child to adult. The choreographer should also be somewhat tech savvy, as we do use private videos for teaching. Videos of previous choreography you have done are preferred to paper materials. We would like to see what you are able to do in real life, as opposed to how you look on a resume. A stipend will be provided, as well as full choreography credit. Rehearsals for choreography generally take place in the evenings from 6:00 PM onward on set Monday's through Friday's. There may be a few Saturday rehearsals before tech week. We are flexible with schedules. Unfortunately, our Musical Director can no longer play the show, but the show MUST GO ON!! Playmakers Youth Theatre is in IMMEDIATE need of a Musical Director for Legally Blonde (actors are in grades 8-12). The show dates are May 3-13 (shows are Thursday nights, Sunday matinees, and Sunday nights). Rehearsals begin March 18 and are Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays. Auditions for Be More Chill - Summer Youth Production

*Auditions for Spotlights’ Summer Youth Musical: "Be More Chill" * The 2018 Broadview Heights Spotlights Summer Youth Production*, Be More Chill*, is based on the novel by Ned Vizzini. The show’s music and lyrics are by Joe Iconis, and the book is by Joe Tracz. The main character is Jeremy, an average teenager. That is, until he finds out about “The Squip” – a tiny supercomputer that promises to bring him everything he desires most: a date with Christine, an invite to the raddest party of the year and a chance to survive life in his suburban New Jersey high school. Auditions will be held on *Monday, April 23* and *Tuesday, April 24* from *7:00 p.m*.* to 9:30 p.m.* No appointment is necessary, but those auditioning should arrive at least an hour before the scheduled end time. Invited callbacks, if necessary, will be held by special arrangement later that week. Rehearsals will begin the week of April 29. The show runs June 21 – July 1. The show will be directed by Tim Anderson and music directed by Ryan Bergeron. Performers (ages 13 to 20) are invited to audition. The show contains adult language and themes, and those auditioning and their parents should be familiar with the material before auditioning. Those auditioning should: - Plan to attend only one night of auditions. - Be familiar with the show and its music, language, and themes. - Prepare two one-minute, contrasting songs (one up-tempo, one ballad), at least one of which should demonstrate a contemporary vocal style. - Bring sheet music in the correct keys, hole-punched in a three-ring binder. Singers will not be permitted to sing *a cappella*. - Bring a list of conflicts between April 29 and July 1 (including all school concerts, lessons, practices, games, family obligations, etc.). Pioneer Trail. The 10-performance run continues at 8 pm Fridays and Saturdays through May 17, plus 3 pm Sunday May, 6 and 13. The award-winning musical by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II features such beloved songs as*: I Whistle a Happy Tune, Getting to Know You, Hello, Young Lovers, *and* Shall We Dance?* Set in 1862, *The King and I* explores the mysteries and cultural challenges of East versus West as it tells the story of Anna, a British schoolteacher brought by the King of Siam to help modernize his country. Their relationship, marked by polite but potent cultural conflict, is underscored by a love that neither can admit. The story is based on Margaret Landon’s novel, “Anna and the King of Siam,” which is derived from the memoirs of Anna Leonowens, who served as governess to the children of King Mongkut of Siam (now Thailand). *Dustin Oliver *directs *The King and I* with *Kristen Johnson*, music director, and *Amie W. The musical premiered on March 29, 1951, at Broadway's St. James Theatre.
