If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. What to prepare: Two 16-32 bar selections in the style of the show. A short monologue. Please bring your own sheet music, there will be no a capella auditions. An accompanist will be provided. AUDITIONS FOR "UNNECESSARY FARCE"AT SPOTLIGHTS THEATER The Broadview Heights Spotlights Theater is excited to announce auditions for UNNECESSARY FARCE by Paul Slade Smith, directed by Chris Bizub. Two cops. Three crooks. Eight doors. Go! In a cheap motel room, an embezzling mayor is supposed to meet with his female accountant, while in the room next-door, two undercover cops wait to catch the meeting on videotape. But there’s some confusion as to who’s in which room, who’s being videotaped, who’s taken the money, who’s hired a hit man, and why the accountant keeps taking off her clothes. Auditions will be Monday & Tuesday, July 11 & 12 – 7:00PM – 10:00PM at the theater (9543 Broadview Road, next to the police station. Callbacks (if needed) will be determined at a later date. Performances will take place September 2 – 17, 2022, Fridays & Saturdays at 7:30PM and Sunday, September 11 at 3:00PM. Auditions will consist of readings from the script. CLEVELAND PLAY HOUSE OPEN CASTING FOR REMOUNT OF ORIGINAL HOLIDAY MUSICAL LIGHT IT UP! Cleveland Play House (CPH) is casting for our 2022 remount of the holiday production, Light It Up!, by Jason Michael Webb and Lelund Durond Thompson, which received its world premiere here in 2021. The production will be directed and choreographed by Christopher Windom; our Associate Director / Choreographer is Natalie Lomonte; our Music Director is Keith Williams; our out-of-town Casting Director is Judith Bowman. Both AEA and non-AEA actors – as well as local and out-of-town actors - will be considered for this production, which will be on a LORT/AEA Contract (Category B). PRODUCTION DATES Rehearsals begin Tuesday, November 8th, and will be held in-person at CPH’s rehearsal spaces, located on the fifth floor of the Middough building. Performances are 7-8 shows a week from Saturday, December 3rd - Thursday, December 22nd. Performances will take place in-person at the Allen Theatre, located in the Playhouse Square complex. Porthouse Theatre seeks a male or male identifying child for special appearance in West Side Story. Looking a child who is or can appear to be between 6-10 (They can be older if they look young). All races and ethnicities encouraged to audition. Please submit a ballad with accompaniment not to exceed 1 minute. Child cast members will be singing “Somewhere” and will also appear in the final scene of the show. Submission can be sent to the Producing Artistic Director, Terri Kent, at tkent(a)kent.edu. JUROR #10 NEEDED FOR 12 ANGRY JURORS

Hello everyone! The Luminescent Moon Theatre is looking for a Juror #10 to complete the cast for our September 16th-18th production! Friday and Saturday will perform at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m.. An informational meeting will be Sunday, July 10th at 6:00 p.m.., and then we will have rehearsals starting Sunday, July 24th on Sundays and Thursdays from 6-8! We hope to have a tech week with less rehearsals needed than a full week! We are located at 84 1/2 Portage Street in Doylestown! A description of Juror #10 is below... Juror #10 is absolutely positive, based on the evidence, that the young man on trial is guilty. He is angry that the verdict is being delayed by those who think otherwise. His businesses are suffering due to him being in the jury room instead of at work, and he resents it. He also has a terrible cold which does not help his attitude any. He just wants to be done and go back to his normal life. The evidence is clear he says. But is it really the evidence that convinces Juror #10 that the young man is guilty? It soon becomes obvious that he sees anyone from the young man’s background, race, and economic status as not worth his time. He tells others that “those” people can not be trusted—that they are all liars. “You're not going to tell us that we're supposed to believe him, knowing what he is. I've lived among 'em all my life. You can't believe a word they say. You know that,” he tells the other jurors. Juror #10 rants on, but at one point he confronts his own prejudices and debates within himself whether he really thinks the evidence points to the young man’s guilt or only the bigotry within him.
