*Center for Applied Theatre and Active Culture (CATAC) is happy to partner with *Projectxx1 <https://www.projectxx1.com/>, *from Italy, to offer a two-day immersive workshop!* The workshop will introduce the principles and practices used by Project xx1 to create immersive experiences. These techniques are used by Project xx1 to develop performing pieces, educational experiences, and training programmes to foster diversity and inclusion. The introductory workshop is focused on the performance aspects of Project xx1’s practice and welcomes both participants with a performing arts background (e.g., some years of experience in dance, music, theatre) and beginners. Auditions for Moving Day A Brand-New Comedy at Olde Towne Hall Theatre, 36119 Center Ridge Rd, North Ridgeville Written and directed by Breianne Knight Synopsis In this brand new, face-paced farce, Heather finally gets the opportunity to display her artwork in a local gallery but it happens on the same day she’s moving out of her apartment. When the movers arrive, she accidentally sends her furniture to the gallery and her artwork to the new apartment. With Cindy’s job at stake, the women play along like this was what they wanted displayed. The hilarity continues when Artini Bagoni isn’t able to critique the venue, placing Vicky, who doesn't know anything about art, as the role of a famous and knowledgeable art connoisseur. AUDITION DATES Tuesday & Wednesday, August 9 & 10, 2022 beginning at 7:00 pm at Olde Towne Hall Theatre - 36119 Center Ridge Rd. Spark Theatre Company is seeking to hire a few new teaching artists for fall classes. Spark Theatre produces outreach programming for schools and organizations throughout NE Ohio, but primarily serves Lorain County. Locations this fall include Keystone Elementary School, Boys & Girls Clubs in Elyria and Lorain, and Elyria South Rec Community Center. *Spark is seeking dynamic, positive teaching artists who can teach fundamentals of theatre, music, dance, or other performing arts skills.
