Yes, last year’s run of this classic comedy was cut short, so kicking off this season, nephew Mortimer (Jarred Nichols) will be shocked to learn of his sweet little old aunts’ little habit of putting lonely men out of their misery with just a touch of arsenic in their wine. When Mortimer’s less than nice brother Jonathan (Brad Sales) shows, up more complications arise. Same cast! Our *8 Week Film School* program is Ohio’s premier hands-on filmmaking after school program for kids and teens. Students will re-produce a scene from a popular movie and learn by experiencing what went into that scene to make it work. Silver Lining Players is looking for one more male actor to complete its cast for their production of the 1938 Radio Drama War of the Worlds originally performed by Orson Welles' Mercury Theater of the Air on October 30th, 1938. This will be a staged reading (performed as the original radio drama) performed at 2pm on Saturdays 12 & 19 and Sundays 13 & 20 in October at the Oriana House in Akron. Rehearsals will be from 6-9 in the evening on Tuesday, September 17 Monday, September 23 Tuesday, September 24 Wednesday, September 25 Monday, September 30 Tuesday, October 1 Wednesday, October 2 Tech Week Monday, October 7 Thursday, October 9 Friday, October 10 Our preference is for actors 50 and over. World War 2 feature film casting fit females 18-34 that can remotely resemble Italians to join already existing all female resistance fighter group. Talent would be extras or featured extras. This is a non-paid role, but would be involved in a Hollywood quality feature film set in 1943 Italy. The Millennial Theatre Project is currently seeking a Musical Director for our upcoming production of Hairspray! The show is scheduled to run from January 10th to 26th, with rehearsals commencing on November 10th. Auditions will be held on October 14th from 6-10 pm, and callbacks are scheduled for October 21st from 6:30-9:30 pm. Please be aware that this is a paid, non-union opportunity. We are looking for a skilled pianist to take on the role of Musical Director. The musician will be responsible for instructing the cast in the music during rehearsals and performing with our live band during the shows. Rehearsals will take place on Sundays from 2-5 p.m. and Monday to Thursday from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Additionally, tech week will commence on January 5th from 12-9 p.m., with Monday to Thursday of tech week running from 6-10 p.m. To schedule an interview, please contact the director, Francine Parr, at civicmtp(a)gmail.com and kindly attach your resume.
